The town, also known as the “City of Oaks”, has giant oak trees shading the streets, which are lined with picturesque cafes, boutiques and art galleries. The Cape Dutch architecture dates back to South Africa’s Dutch colonial history. Our guide will take you on a walking tour of the historic town.
Enjoy another wine tasting (included) in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley
Photo Stop: Drakenstein Prison. In 1982 Mandela was transferred from the maximum security prison on Robben Island, a small island in Table Bay, to Pollsmoor Prison in Tokai, Cape Town. From there, Mandela was moved to the then Victor Verster Prison on 9 December 1988, where he lived in a private house inside the prison compound. Victor Verster, a farm prison, was often used as a stepping stone for releasing lower-risk political prisoners. Mandela served another 14 months at Victor Verster (Now called Drakenstein) Prison until his release on 11 February 1990. On the day of his release, reporters from all over the world surrounded the prison, giving the prison worldwide publicity.

Vineyards Experience
Amazing experience, thanks to the wonderful tour guides Horea and Rob
Three wine farms
Excellent definitely something to do in cape town
Enjoyable wine tour
Horea was an excellent guide, friendly, informative, funny. Robbie was good too. The transportation was comfortable and the sites we visited were good. Lunch was tasty and there was a variety of choices . The only area for improvement I could identify is the availability of some sweet wine choices.
Great to look at
Our tour guide was terrific. The scenery was stunning. All the wineries were gorgeous and lunch was delicious. I thought the wines we tasted were dreadful. I had prenty of delicious SA wines in restaurants in Cape Town. I don't know why wineries would bring out their worst for a tasting.
Worth It!
Amazing time! Our guide was superb, had a great time during the drive and at the vineyards. Recommend it 10/10. You get to see and be in some beautiful landscapes.
