Our experience allows participation in Ireland’s greatest cultural secret and most popular pastimes – Gaelic Football, Hurling (Stick and Ball game) and Gaelic Handball. It is suitable for all ages and abilities, prepare to be surprised! It's full of fun and laughter and delivered in the heart of the community in a real Gaelic Club. It's an mix of culture, history, sport and soft activity. All you need are flat shoes and a willingness to have fun! Think Soccer, Rugby, Basketball, Volleyball, Golf, Hockey, Lacrosse and Baseball all combined into the one. Then add on over 3000 years of history. It is an opportunity to do something truly unique, allowing you to become Gaelic Warriors for the first time!

Do NOT miss this experience

Fantastic experience! This is the stuff other tourists miss and it's shame. This is how you have an authentic cultural experience. We learned to play hurling and Gaelic football at a real club with real staff members. It was active and fun and informative and fantastic family bonding time! A wonderful departure from museums and churches. And there happened to be a hurling tournament that weekend, so we sat in a pub and watched the game with the locals and totally understood what was happening. We ran into our coach, Stephen, later on our trip on the streets of Galway, and it was like we were one of the locals, saying hello to a friend as we passed by. Love love loved it!

High recommend

We did this last week while in Galway and it was such a great experience!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information about both Hurling and Gaelic football. We were in a group of about 12 people. Our guide was friendly and patient with those of us in the group that were clearly not athletic! It was the perfect amount of instruction and time to practice the skills in both sports. We highly recommend this activity to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the world of Gaelic sports!!

So much fun!

This was the best time. My kids, my husband and I had a great time learning the sports. Joey was a great teacher and very patient. My kids said this was their favorite thing the whole trip!

Great family activity!

Stephen was a wonderful trainer, explaining the intricacies of G.A.A. while helping us have fun. We traveled with three young athletes and they had a blast learning Gaelic football and camogie! We were all laughing and playing together.

Fabulous fun!

Wonderful experience! Stephen is a great teacher. It was so much fun learning how to play the Gaelic games. This is our top activity in Ireland. If you're thinking about it then definitely do it.
