Full description
We’ll kick things off in the Grassmarket with our first sweet tasting of the day. Once the site of markets, public gatherings, and some of Edinburgh’s darker moments, today the area is packed with colorful shops, pubs, cafés, and plenty of character. It’s the perfect place to begin exploring the city’s Old Town.
From here, we’ll make our way toward Victoria Street, one of Edinburgh’s most photographed streets. Its colorful storefronts, curved architecture, and steep cobblestone streets create a scene that feels straight out of a storybook. Along the way, your guide will share stories about Edinburgh’s fascinating history and the people who have called these streets home.
Of course, there are more sweets to come. We’ll enjoy another delicious tasting before continuing through the winding streets and closes of the Old Town. Each stop brings something different, from donuts and pastries to other freshly baked creations, giving you plenty of variety throughout the experience.
Our journey continues toward Edinburgh’s historic Old Town and the area around Waverley Station, where medieval streets meet the energy of the modern city. Here, we’ll enjoy locally roasted coffee and another sweet treat before making our way toward our final tasting.
After one more delicious bakery stop, we’ll finish near the iconic Scott Monument and Princes Street Gardens. The towering Gothic monument and surrounding views provide a memorable finale to our walk through Edinburgh.
Come hungry and ready to explore. This family-friendly walking tour combines delicious donuts, pastries, coffee, the Grassmarket, Victoria Street, Edinburgh’s Old Town, local history, architecture, and plenty of fun into one unforgettable sweet adventure.

Reviews
The tour was quite long and it was difficult to keep the kids engaged. The donut store was the best stop where we got to choose a donut. At the rest of the stops the food items were pre ordered and we didn’t get a choice which was a bit disappointing. I was also unhappy that the tour ended at a different location to the starting point - we were handed a map and had to find our own way back. Having never been to Cork before, this wasn’t particularly easy and we had to run to catch our train back to Cobh.
It was a pleasant tour our guides new the area very well
Kat was a great guide. The donuts were delicious and she also included a lot of history of Toronto. The walk was an easy pace and gave us time to prepare for the next round. She provided us with other places to taste Toronto food and there was time to grab some of that food too. We loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto!
