Traveler reviews
Great informative tour
we had an awesome time and learned so much.
Beating the crowds with the morning tour was the best decision
Our door was scheduled for 730 to 930am. The doors do not open until 8am, so 30 minutes of the tour is waiting in line. Our tour guide was funny and insightful. She left us at the Sistine Chapel at 9:15, and I wish she would’ve used the 15 minutes to show us a few more things or tell a few more stories before getting to the Sistine Chapel. You spend a lot of the time in the museum looking up. After staring up at the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, all of us ended up feeling a little bit dizzy. You are actually able to go back and revisit the entire museum, but it was starting to get busy and hot inside the museum and so we opted to go elsewhere. I loved the staircase at the end.
Amazing way to see The Vatican (still busy, but enjoyable in small group)
LivTours was great, easy to get to, and perfect directions. We had the BEST tour guide ever! Dario!!! He was funny, fun, engaging, informative and made a hot, lengthy tour feel like 10 minutes. The experience was my second time at the Sistine Chapel and Vatican but this time it was much more memorable. My 18 year old son and husband loved it. So many stories, that you wouldn’t find in books. And he kept our group together in a nice natural way. He also had our admission tickets and told us when we’d need them. Everything worked great!
Chiara from LIV tours was excellent!
As artists we wanted a tour guide with experience and Chiara did not disappoint. Her expertise in art history was greatly appreciated. She know where to take us for maximum exposure and showed us how to backtrack to the areas we wanted to spend more time. Wonderful early morning tour, no crowds, and easy to discuss all the magnificent art.
Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica
Our guide, Assunta, was so kind and explained so much. She even made it a point to get us as close to important artworks as possible giving us a truly special experience.
