Important information
Know before you book
- For safety, 4 and 5-year-olds will be escorted around the Smelter Rapid if your trip goes through the whitewater park.
- When water levels rise, we take extra safety precautions which may include walking around one of the rapids where the river narrows or using other river sections.
- Low water season usually starts in late July and rapid classes drop a ½ to a full notch. Our trips become more technical as we navigate through the rocks in the river.
- Wetsuits are often required from May through June, and wetsuit boots are recommended all season. Rentals are available!
- All itineraries are subject to change due to water conditions.

Reviews
We had a fantastic time. Our guide Alex was great. It was SO MUCH FUN!!!
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming! Our river guide was Alex and he made the whole experience feel safe and fun! He very clear with his commands and directions. On top of that, he was hilarious. Overall had an amazing trip! Can’t recommend Mild to Wild more!
I usually raft with Mild to Wild, but this time decided to try a Jeep Tour. It was fantastic. My guide Jake was so knowledgeable, shared so much history, made us laugh and made us feel secure on a road I would not want to take my car. I love the open air jeeps and the views. I highly recommend a jeep tour in Telluride with Mild to Wild.
