Itinerary
The tour departs in front of H&M in College Green.
The gravedigger ghost bus tour starts at Trinity College where your guide will transport you back some 600 years ago to when the old Augustinian Priory and of course the plague house were there. The latter of which the guide is all too familiar with… But just ignore the coughing and listen to his tales of a plague-ravaged Dublin.
Hear an account of plague victims trying to soothe their wounds in the waters of the city’s drinking supplies. Learn about the mayor's schemes to try and keep the disease at bay, on the gates of Kilmainham Gaol and discover the fates of all those poor souls who found themselves infected with the disease. Many were ostracised, but some suffered an end much, much worse.
Learn the history of Gravedigging at the haunted gates of Glasnevin Cemetery.
This tour includes a mystery drink. You’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing pint at the iconic Gravediggers Pub—one of Ireland’s oldest and most storied family-run establishments with one of the best Guinness you'll taste. (Please note: drinks are not included.)
Arrive back in the meeting point at 10 pm.

Traveler reviews
Great tour! (please add a flash warning)
Fun way to explore the Dublin and some of it's darker history. The tour guides were incredibly funny and made sure everyone had a great time. The timing of the tour was great, it never felt like it dragged on, or got boring. ❗Heads up, if you have issues with strobe lights/photosensitive epilepsy. At one point in the tour, all the lights in the bus get turned off, and a bright light flashes repeatedly.
Excellent tour full of great tales and outstanding performances
What a great night. The storytellers were absolutely fantastic and mixed history with a spooky fun twist. The stories were great and the passion and enthusiasm of the staff was first class. The bus was fitted out so well and the driver was a good laugh. Loved the shots at the end of the trip as it was a nice way to end the night.
Highly recommend!
We did a ghost tour on Monday, May 4th, and it was terrific! It included actual history and wasn’t too spooky or paranormal. We would recommend to anyone!
This was a fun little way...
This was a fun little way to spend a couple hours on one of the nights in Dublin that we had free! You get off the bus at 3 separate locations and hear some fun spooky stories about each. The only complaint I have is just that the bus itself doesn’t necessarily smell the freshest! The bus is all boarded up so you can’t open or see out the windows, which I totally get. It’s supposed to be spooky! I have no idea how they could prevent/fix that, but it was just a bit distracting from the experience.
Fun 1st night in Dublin
Super fun and cool experience. Was our 1st night in Dublin so was fun getting a historical backdrop on Dublin’s darker past. The tour guides were hilarious. Thanks again! 🤘🏽🇮🇪
