From there, we’ll make our way toward the heart of downtown, sampling more sweet treats and locally inspired flavors along the way. As we explore Capitol Square, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the Wisconsin State Capitol, one of Madison’s most recognizable landmarks. Learn about the history and architecture of this impressive building while discovering how the surrounding square has served as a gathering place for generations of Madison residents.
Our journey continues through downtown as we experience some of the flavors Wisconsin is famous for. You’ll get a taste of the city’s local food culture while learning how Madison’s farmers, makers, students, and independent businesses have helped shape its culinary identity.
Next, we’ll head toward State Street, the lively pedestrian-friendly corridor connecting Capitol Square with the University of Wisconsin campus. This colorful stretch is filled with local shops, restaurants, historic buildings, public art, and plenty of personality. It’s also the perfect setting for the next round of delicious bites.
Throughout the tour, we’ll visit a variety of local favorites to sample donuts, pastries, coffee, and other sweet treats selected for the group. Between tastings, your guide will share entertaining stories about Madison’s history, university culture, architecture, food traditions, and local landmarks.
By the time we reach the end of our journey, you’ll have experienced much more than a collection of great treats. You’ll have explored some of downtown Madison’s most iconic streets and sights while discovering the people, stories, and flavors that make the city special.

Reviews
The tour was quite long and it was difficult to keep the kids engaged. The donut store was the best stop where we got to choose a donut. At the rest of the stops the food items were pre ordered and we didn’t get a choice which was a bit disappointing. I was also unhappy that the tour ended at a different location to the starting point - we were handed a map and had to find our own way back. Having never been to Cork before, this wasn’t particularly easy and we had to run to catch our train back to Cobh.

Kat was a great guide. The donuts were delicious and she also included a lot of history of Toronto. The walk was an easy pace and gave us time to prepare for the next round. She provided us with other places to taste Toronto food and there was time to grab some of that food too. We loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto!
