Wonderful experience
Fantastic experience. Well organized , boat was clean Operater was experienced to take us near the whales with responsibility and at a safe and respectful distance from the whales. Stayed additional time as whale was still visible Good commentary during the trip , encouraged us to ask questions. Encouraged us to just watch and experience instead of concentrating more taking photos. Photos taken by team was made available after the trip free of charge
Wonderful experience don’t get dampened with cold wind dress warm
This was a rewarding trip for us We did not anticipate we can see whales The boat leaves from downtown harbour and it was a bright and sunny day as a bonus The boat ride about close to 45 min and the boat was fully booked We learnt about the behaviour , various types how they breathe, how they take a deep dive and resurface after a few minutes. We also learnt how to tell the sex of the whales. The guides know the whales by their name. On the boat there were videos and messages about anti-whaling especially not to go to restaurant which serve whale meat! At first the sea was calm as it was inside the fjord,but once it reaches the open area the sea began to show white caps and get cold! The close encounter was close to about half an hour. If one misses the opportunity in photographing the whale one can scan the ends of the ticket to get a free photo of the whales There are lots of choices of expedition, for example by motor boat which is fast with close encounter experience at the expense of being cold and wet but there is no bathroom relief. As we were elderly we can space out and go inside the cabin when it gets cold picking the large vessel as our choice

We saw these incredible animals up close and learned so much along the way. Beautiful scenery, great atmosphere, and an unforgettable experience in Iceland. Highly recommended!
