Waste of time

The two tours are separate, and you have to wait two hours in between. The remote cameras are of very poor quality. You cannot observe the puffins well with them. There were no whales, only two dolphins. 142 euros were unnecessarily charged for this tour.

Great tours and knowledgeable guides

Very impressed with the guides of both of these tours. We saw hundreds of puffins on the puffin tour, and 4 whales on the whale tour. Two of the whales were a pair that swam together and surfaced and dove multiple times near our boat. The guides were very knowledgeable and described a lot about the behaviors of all the creatures around. I especially appreciate that they took photos with a professional camera with telephoto lens and shared them for free after the tour. Don’t waste your time trying to take photos with your phone. You will miss the action and the photos they took were so much better.

Puffin & Whale Tour

Unfortunately, not a word is translated into German during the tour. With the whales, only the hump or the fin was visible for a very short time. The puffins were okay to see.

Puffins and dolphins and whales! Oh my!

What a great time and a great value! The meeting area was easy to get to and the staff on both trips were great. As a bonus one of the mates on the puffin tour took great telephoto pictures that he shared with us. I was concerned about the possibility of not seeing much on the whale cruise but it was just the opposite! We ended up being surrounded by THREE humpback whales and about a hundred white nosed dolphins- all at once! Because of the size of the whaling boat you have the option of being up a little higher or on a lower deck for an up close experience (two of my kids caught some spray from a humpback!). All in all two great tours that left all of us with great memories of Iceland!

The first time, we...

The first time, we were not lucky enough to see whales but we were able to redo the cruise for free. The second time we saw several whales and dolphins.
