Amazing day trip through the douro valley with Carlos Daniel
Our trip through the Douro Valley was fantastic and was made extra special by our guide Carlos Daniel. He was informative, personable, funny, and a great driver! We stopped at 2 vineyards and tried a variety of great wines while leaning the history of the families there and the wine and olive oil making process. The second vineyard we stopped at provided an amazing home cooked meal. Along the way we had a few smaller stops for sights and stories, as well as a relaxing cruise down a section of the douro River. It was a wonderful day trip to get to see the region and learn about its history.
Nice wine tour
Enjoyable day with Luis M. Went to Quinta Santa Julia for tasting and lunch. Quinta da Foz after the Duoro River boat tour. Everyone was very friendly and it was informative. Able to make dietary accommodation and that was much appreciated.
Beautiful Duoro valley views, great port wine tasting as well!
It's a great duro valley trip. Beautiful views. We went to 2 vineyards and tried some small quantity of wine. It was followed with a boat tour, which was scenic. For food we got a soup, pasta, chocolate mousse. But our guide Bernado was great, very well travelled, very knowledgeable and accomodating. These are not like the tours in other European parts with lot of wine pours , cheese , bread meat platters. Very different experience
Fun small group tour!
A great day! Very smooth. Wine and tours were great. Carlos Daniel was a fun and vibrate guide. Felt like we had a friend showing us around for the day instead of a tour guide.
Good wine, great food, excellent fun
Carlos Daniel was delightful and a brilliant tour guide. The vineyards were fine and what you’d expect for a mainstream wine tour. The food for lunch was delicious and I appreciated the very generous servings. A lovely way to spend a day in the Douro Valley.
