Start your day with a comfortable pick-up service directly from your accommodation located in the heart of Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia.
A charming riverside town known for its beautiful bridge over the Tâmega River, the São Gonçalo Church, and its traditional pastries. Enjoy a short technical stop and admire the local scenery.
First Wine Estate – Guided Tour and Wine Tasting Arrive at a prestigious Douro Valley wine estate (such as Quinta do Val Moreira, Quinta do Panascal, or similar). Take part in a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars, followed by a tasting of three local wines.
Lunch at the Wine Estate - Enjoy a delicious all-inclusive traditional lunch at the same estate, featuring regional starters, a main course, dessert, and drinks—all paired with Douro wines.

- Duration: the hours of duration are approximate 10 hours. The Tour is subject to local traffic, visit schedules, etc
- You can be picked up from a private address other than hotels in Porto & Vila Nova de Gaia downtown area/city center only (Matosinhos Cities are outside pick-up limits)
- Our pick-ups happen between 8am & 8:45am (the time window for all client pick-ups), so we advise to always aim to be ready at 8am in advance.
- Wineries or order of wineries visited may differ depending on their availability.
- Visits at the wineries and river cruises are not fully private and open to external participants.

This was hands down one of the best day trips I've ever taken! Living Tours did an incredible job creating an experience that perfectly showcased the beauty, history, food, and wine of the Douro Valley. Every stop felt thoughtfully planned, from wandering the charming streets of Amarante to visiting two beautiful wineries where we learned about the winemaking process and enjoyed fantastic tastings. The traditional Portuguese lunch was delicious, and of course, the wine pairings made it even better! The highlight for me was the relaxing river cruise through the Douro Valley. Seeing the terraced vineyards from the water was absolutely breathtaking and something I'll never forget. Our guide kept the day fun, organized, and informative, and everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. If you're visiting Porto, this tour is an absolute must. It's the perfect way to experience one of the world's most beautiful wine regions.

We loved Pedro, our guide. He was knowledgeable and oh so fun! The wines were fantastic, especially the one with lunch and Ricardo as a host. Beautiful! We are glad that we visited and chose this tour.
Excellent experience
Pedro was a terrific guide. We saw everything we hoped to see and more. The tour was well paced and managed to be fulfilling without ever feeling in a rush. Pedro shared his vast knowledge of the region and of Portuguese history. Highly recommend this and so glad we did it.
Friendly guide, great experience
We had a great time- Paolo C was very accommodating, friendly, and made sure we were all comfortable and happy. It was great to be able to see some family run vineyards that we would’t have been able to see on our own. We were glad we did it!
