Itinerary
Pass by: Your expert guide will collect you from your hotel/accommodation or meeting point and will drive you to the renown Douro region. On your way to the Douro, the guide will give you insights regarding the Portuguese history, development and cultural facts of portuguese heritage. Half Way through the drive to the Douro Region we will do a short stop for a coffee break.
Pass by: Welcome to the Douro Region, famous for it's valley, Unesco World Heritage site, the oldest demarked wine region with unique landscapes of vinyards and the magical Douro river giving you the perfect background for a day of amazing wine tastings.
Pass by: Arriving in Sabrosa we will do our first visit of the day. We will discover the first of two wineries where you learn about the wine production and history of Douro Region, and its wines. You will have the oportunity to taste different wines before the lunch. A complete lunch will be served by the end of the visit: a full traditional portuguese meal with entrance, main dish, dessert, pairing with Douro red or white wine.
Pass by: After lunch we will drive through the windy Douro roads on the way to Pinhão and we will do a quick photo stop at one of the most impressive viewpoints of the region. Enjoy the views and share with your friends and collegues on social media!
It's now time to sail! Enjoy a 50 minutes scenic cruise on the Douro river departing from Pinhão on board of a traditional Rebelo boat.
Pass by: National Road 222: drive through the most beautiful road in the world Did you know that one of the most beautiful roads in the world is Portuguese? We talk about the Estrada Nacional 222, which takes you to discover the incredible Douro wine region. On our tour will pass on this amazing road and point out the most scenic views.
Pass by: Our wine tour is not over yet! There is time to visit one more renown Winery. The winery expert guide will walk you through the estate ,explaining the process from the vinyard to the bottle ending with a magnificent tasting of three different types of wines.

In alternative, we can collect you from the Tourist Service/Living Tours located at Rua Mouzinho da Silveira, 350, Porto - next to Porto - São Bento train station.Reservation is mandatory and requires na emai request/confirmation. Bookings must be confirmed at least 48 hours befor the date of the servisse. Cancellations within 48 hours or less will be fully charged.

Memorable with magical scenery!
The tour was well balanced with a great service. The visit of two wineries and the cruise were just right. More importantly, our guide Anna was wonderful in terms of friendly support and historic and touristic information. She really made us feel home.

It was my first time to visit a winery and it was a very valuable experience. The vineyards we could see from the Douro River cruise were very beautiful and the port wine we received was very good. The lunch we had at the winery and the wine were very good. My guide Andre was very kind and I joined alone, but it was a very enjoyable day. I had the best memories of Porto.
A Day Well Spent
An interesting and informative tour, learned a lot about port wine, enjoyed the tastings and the lunch. Our guide Pedro was personable and entertaining. The boat cruise on the Douro River provided beautiful views of the vineyards, and the stop at Amarante was also very interesting. One recommendation is to either have the lunch stop before the boat cruise, or clarify in advance that lunch will not be until 2pm. Otherwise everything was great! Highly recommend.

Private visit, but not throughout the entire experience.
Beautiful experience. The first vineyard was very interesting. The owner was very interesting and passionate. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything to us and provide a wonderful experience. However, for the second vineyard where we were received for lunch, it was very different. We were left to ourselves for the meal with a very brief explanation about the white and red wines they placed on the table. The meal was acceptable but nothing more. Subsequently, our tour of the cellar was not the private visit we expected since we had chosen this activity for its private aspect. We found ourselves with a group, which was much louder and less personalized than the first visit where we were alone with the guide. This second visit was much shorter and more commercial. A bit disappointing given that we had purchased and paid for a completely private experience. Regarding our transportation, it was wonderful. Our driver was very kind and competent. Thank you! The vehicle was suitable for our group of 4 adults.
