Experience the history of D-Day through the American sector on this half-day small-group tour from Bayeux. Designed for travelers wishing to understand the events of June 6, 1944, this journey focuses on Omaha Beach and the key locations where U.S. forces landed during Operation Overlord.

Walk along the sands where one of World War II’s most decisive battles unfolded, visit the Normandy American Cemetery overlooking the coastline, and hear powerful stories of courage and sacrifice shared by your expert guide. Combining historical insight with meaningful site visits, this tour provides an accessible yet deeply moving introduction to the American experience of D-Day.

Omaha Beach — The American Landing
Omaha Beach was one of the most challenging landing zones during the Allied invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Facing strong German defenses and difficult terrain, American troops endured heavy casualties while securing a critical foothold in Nazi-occupied France.
Today, the wide stretch of sand appears peaceful, yet it remains one of the most symbolic locations of World War II.

Normandy American Cemetery
Overlooking Omaha Beach lies the Normandy American Cemetery, final resting place of more than 9,000 American soldiers. The perfectly aligned white crosses and Stars of David honor those who lost their lives during the Normandy campaign and provide one of the most moving memorial sites in Europe.

Alex was the most experienced, knowledgeable, and chilled tour guide of all the 5 tour guides we experienced. We learned a lot from him about the culture, history, and geology of the region. He also provided great context to understand the regions' wines. This tour to Cassis and the calanques was beautiful and would get a 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that this expensive tour did not include lunch. The wine tasting was good but I had better in Bordeaux and it included lunch.
