Itinerary
Pass by: We meet outside the Killarney Paddywagon Office at 13 Main Street! @ 10:45am
Inch Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Ireland, and stretches for 3 miles facing the Atlantic ocean and is renowned as a surfing and fishing location. Its golden sands became well known on the big screen as it has featured in many movies, most notably Ryan's Daughter and Playboy of Western World which was entirely filmed along its shoreline.
Slea Head drive on the Wild Altanic Way, is considered by many photographic magazines as the most beautiful peninsula in the world, and was recently voted the number one area for dramatic shots. The road winds around through Gaelic speaking Corca Dhuibhne beginning at Ventry beach passing by the 4000 year old beehive huts and onwards to Dunquin with amazing views of the great Blasket Island and the Sleeping Giant. The peninsula has fabulous beaches in Coonenoole and Clogherhead where the film Far and Away was shot. We drive through the beautiful village of Ballyferriter.
Next we stop in Dingle town! Charming Gaelic speaking fishing village famed in many films like Far and Away and Ryan's Daughter, Dingle is celebrated for having most pubs in Ireland for a town of its size, 52 pubs and 2000 people. We cannot forget Dingle's most famous resident, Fungi the Dolphin. Enjoy 1.5 hours exploring Dingle, and sampling the perfectly fresh local fish and chips
Pass by: Arrive back into Killarney for approximately 5.30-6.00pm during peak season, and between 4.30-5.00pm during the Winter.

Great day trip to Dingle.
Fabulous day trip. Michael our driver was kind, informative, helpful and made the journey fun. Great experience. Loved visiting the lambs.
Dingle is lovely!
Go when it’s good weather ..it was raining so not as nice. The views are so beautiful and Michael was funny and full of information.
Do not recommend
I don’t recommend this particular Paddywagon tour. The bus was late coming from Cork. It was a different coach than expected. The seats were very cramped, you couldn’t see outside of both sides, I had to stand to see the views, there wasn’t WiFi or USB ports as advertised. I couldn’t take pictures from the coach because the seats were so close, all I got were people’s heads, them taking pictures and the advertising at the top of the bus windows. Our driver, Igor, was very concerned about time. He let us off for 2 stops along slea drive and gave us “7-10 minutes to stop, take pictures and make memories”. He’s then honk at us to return. We had no time to enjoy views. I couldn’t enjoy the view of the drive since I was on the opposite side of the bus. The driver also took time to point out a home with a Palestine flag and talked about how expensive things are due to the Ukraine and Russia war. None of that was necessary. It wasn't at all related to the tour, Irish history or anything. It was not necessary. The guide and awful coach just ruined this entire experience. It was the worst tour I’ve ever booked. It was a waste of a day and money.
The weather wasn't great but our driver was. Very informative and the views at the stop were exceptional. We highly recommend the tour vs driving ourselves.
Thank goodness for the views
The views make this trip worth the money. Our tour operator didn't provide much of a narrative and played US country music from Dingle to Killarney. I hear enough of that, what about some Irish music when in Ireland. The bus driver was a bit crude and I did not appreciate the horn honking to get everyone back. Other tours (different operators) have gone smoothly by telling us to be back at a certain time and not "come back when you hear the horn". Not my favorite tour.
