Don't miss this trip
All the critical aspects mentioned in the reviews above seem to be improved. We had wonderful 1.5 hours on the cliffs and a whole half an hour at the castle, whereas there we was only one hour dedicated to the lunch. This schedule is absolutely optimal. And I was very glad that I decided to do this trip. The cliffs are unforgettable and the guide is gorgeous. If the bus is a bit late, don't worry. It's just because of the traffic. Just wait for it about 15 minutes.
A Stella Adventure of Stunning Beauty
Travel is an adventure. First decision to make upon arrival: Hike 7 miles one way through the Gap on paved, hilly terrain, or take the traditional horse and carriage ride to the boats on the other end. Most of the carriages fit up to 4 people and charge 140 euros per carriage. That’s a reasonable 35 euros per person, and a comfortable ride. A bit pricey if you’re traveling solo, so make some friends, and you’ll all save money! The tour itself winds through some spectacular scenery, passing the highest mountain in Ireland (some 3000 ft.), culminating at a nice lunch spot on the lake where a boatsman will come by for the second half of your adventure on the 3 lakes of Killarney National Park. One caution, particularly for elderly people in full carriages: There are 2 steep hills where everyone must get out and climb because that load is too much for the poor horsie to do. One or two persons, though, is probably okay. Know your physical limits and ask your driver beforehand. Other than that, this is an awesome tour, and you’ll marvel with delight at every turn. Just don’t pet the sheep along the way!

It can be extremely, as in hard to stand, windy and weather changes in a flash. Wear waterproof clothing and footwear. Thus prepared you'll see spectacular views.

Amazing and breathtaking views. Expect the tour to be very windy and cold. I just wish the stay could had been a lot longer.
