Pickup in and around Dijon
This morning, your English‑speaking local guide, a Burgundy wine expert, meets you at your hotel or accommodation in Dijon or the surrounding area. After a quick overview of the day’s program and itinerary, you settle into your comfortable, air‑conditioned premium vehicle and set off towards the prestigious Côte de Nuits wine region.
Scenic drive on the Route des Grands Crus
You follow the legendary Route des Grands Crus, often called the “Champs‑Élysées of Burgundy”, winding through some of the most celebrated vineyards in the world. Along the way, you pass the picturesque villages of Fixin, Gevrey‑Chambertin and Chambolle‑Musigny, surrounded by rolling hillsides covered with Pinot Noir vines.
First tasting at a local estate
In the heart of this landscape, home to names like Vosne‑Romanée, Gevrey‑Chambertin and Chambolle‑Musigny, you pause near the legendary Romanée‑Conti vineyards for photos and explanations of Burgundy’s famous climats. You then continue to a local winery or private cellar for a first guided tasting of Côte de Nuits wines, discovering how soil, slope and exposure shape the character of each cuvée.
Prestige tasting in the Gevrey‑Chambertin area
Later, you enjoy a prestige tasting in a second private cellar, often in or around Gevrey‑Chambertin, where you sample a selection of Pinot Noirs from different winemakers, sometimes paired with regional cheeses or fine chocolates. During this commented session, your guide shares food‑and‑wine pairing tips and explains French traditions around serving Burgundy reds. You may also visit a family‑run cellar that has been in the same hands for generations, offering a personal glimpse into the region’s winemaking heritage.
Return to Dijon
After this final tasting, you sit back and relax for the drive back through the vineyards, returning to Dijon where your guide drops you at your hotel or accommodation. Your private Côte de Nuits wine tour ends here, with a deeper appreciation of Burgundy’s most iconic Pinot Noir terroirs.

Reviews
The tour guide was fantastic and the explanations were excellent. Baynac is super pretty and boat tour is relax.
Our tour of Chambord and Chenonceau Chateaus with Flore was great. My husband and I were the only ones on the tour so we had Flore all to ourselves. The pick up location was very easy - right in front of the Tours Information Centre. We felt we had just the right amount of time to spend at each chateau. Flore also took us to Amboise for lunch and showed us lots of restaurant options in a beautiful part of the town. Flore was very engaging and friendly and was happy to answer my many questions. I felt that we got so much more value from having a guide. There’s so many details we would have missed if we had gone to these places on our own. Thankyou Flore for a wonderful day out in the Loire Valley.
Fantastic day trip. Pascal was awesome.
