Full description

Your Cork sweet adventure begins in the heart of the city, where colorful streets, centuries of history, and a fantastic local food scene come together. Over the next two hours, we’ll explore Cork City Centre on foot, enjoying an irresistible mix of donuts and sweet treats while discovering the stories, landmarks, and personality of Ireland’s second-largest city.

We’ll kick things off near Parnell Place with our first freshly baked treats of the day. It’s the perfect introduction to Cork’s growing bakery scene and a delicious way to fuel up before heading deeper into the city.

From there, we’ll make our way toward Oliver Plunkett Street, one of Cork’s liveliest pedestrian areas. Lined with shops, pubs, cafés, and historic buildings, this bustling street offers a great taste of everyday life in the city. At our second stop, we’ll dig into another sweet creation, offering a completely different flavor and style from our first tasting.

Our journey continues through the winding streets of Cork City Centre toward the area surrounding French Church Street. Here, it’s time for donuts. Expect fun flavors, creative toppings, and delicious combinations that showcase a more playful side of Cork’s sweet scene.

Between tastings, your guide will share stories about Cork’s history and distinctive local culture. Built around channels of the River Lee, Cork developed as an important trading city, and its compact center is filled with reminders of its past. We’ll explore narrow streets and hidden corners while taking in colorful storefronts, historic architecture, and the lively atmosphere that gives Cork its unique character.

For our final stop, we’ll switch things up again with a Mexican-inspired sweet treat. It’s a warm, indulgent finale and another completely different addition to the variety of flavors we’ll experience throughout the tour.

Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities for photos, stories, laughs, and recommendations for what else to see and eat while you’re in Cork.

Come hungry and ready to explore. This family-friendly walking tour combines delicious donuts, baked goods, sweet treats, Cork City Centre, Oliver Plunkett Street, local history, architecture, and plenty of fun into one unforgettable sweet adventure.

The tour was quite long and it was difficult to keep the kids engaged. The donut store was the best stop where we got to choose a donut. At the rest of the stops the food items were pre ordered and we didn’t get a choice which was a bit disappointing. I was also unhappy that the tour ended at a different location to the starting point - we were handed a map and had to find our own way back. Having never been to Cork before, this wasn’t particularly easy and we had to run to catch our train back to Cobh.

Kat was a great guide. The donuts were delicious and she also included a lot of history of Toronto. The walk was an easy pace and gave us time to prepare for the next round. She provided us with other places to taste Toronto food and there was time to grab some of that food too. We loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto!
