Cork Ramble
This walking tour was an excellent introduction to Cork. Our host was a wealth of knowledge, bringing the city's history to life with engaging stories and fascinating details that I would have completely missed exploring on my own. The route covered many of Cork's highlights, including St. Patrick's Street, the Crawford Art Gallery, Rory Gallagher Place, the Huguenot Cemetery, Grand Parade, South Mall, and the English Market. Along the way, we learned about Cork's maritime history, architecture, music, commerce, and the remarkable people who helped shape the city. The tour was well paced, entertaining, and informative from beginning to end. I left with a much deeper appreciation for Cork and plenty of ideas for places to revisit during my stay. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, especially at the beginning of their trip.
Excellent tour and guide
We only had two days in Cork city and booked this walking tour. Our guide, Eddie, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and kept the tour just the right balance of informative, entertaining and amusing. Very professional. Highly recommended. We were so pleased we booked the tour.
Got a sense of history of Cork
Guide was very knowledgeable about the history/origins of Cork. Wish he had stopped in quieter places for presentations/discussions. Wish he had taken us to less grungy parts of Cork.
