Cork, a city to visit
The city of Cork leaves us with a good impression. Welcoming because of its inhabitants, its shopkeepers, its buses running every hour, the heritage to visit like Saint Anne's Shandon Church where you can ring the bells. Easy to access from France.
Highly recommended Introduction to Cork City!
Chris was an excellent Guide. In a short space of time, he managed to deliver a first class account of Cork's history, its maritime past and explained how St Patrick's Street, Grand Parade and the South Mall, amongst others, were previously open canals and docks. We put many questions to him and he answered them all. He was very generous with his time and went well over the stipulated tour length. Highly recommended.
Just okay
Lots of history, historical names and timelines, we thought too much. The buildings and the information about where the river used to flow were interesting. More talk about types of architecture would have been good. It would have been nice if we were provided a map, because at the end of the tour, we really didn’t know where we went or where we were at the end. There were no suggestions for food, music or beverages.
Informative and relaxed
It was a nice easy ramble full of information and history. I enjoyed all aspects of the tour. I wish we would have done it when we arrived but alas that was late Saturday and no tours in a Sunday

Mary was a wonderful guide- full of interesting facts and a great sense of humour and connection to Cork and it’s history.
