Great introduction to Cobh

Perfect length, knowledgeable and friendly guide. Catherine was great, warm and funny, even when the wind and rain was blowing hard! 😊

A Titanic Overview and So Much More!

We were so lucky to have Dennis as our guide—a true ambassador of Cobh. He provided a wonderful overview of not only the history of the Titanic and its link to Cobh, but as a lifelong Cobh resident, he was able to weave in stories of a bygone time in Irish history. He told us one story of a fishing trip he had taken with his father and brother and from the boat, only being able to see the cross on Cobh’s church. He explained how his father told he and his brother that that sight was likely the last thing immigrants saw as they left their native Ireland for the new world. It, as well as do many of his stories, were extremely moving.

Making History Come Alive!

We had a wonderful Titanic Trail walking tour in Cobh recently with Tom as our guide. Since this was the last port for Titanic before setting sail for its fatal trip, there were many new things we learned. In addition, Cobh was the city where many of the dead from the Lusitania disaster were brought, so we learned many of those details. Great guide and great walking tour!

Brilliant walking tour

Absolutely brilliant walking tour. Our guide was so interesting, knowledgeable and being a local lad was genuinely proud of his home town’s history. I think he was ex navy. It really brings the history of the Titanic and the Lusitania to life when you hear the stories of the individual local people involved. Highly recommend.
