Disappointed with Accessibility Experience – Great Guide but Poor Handling from Driver & Company

We joined this tour recently and unfortunately the day got off to a bad start. My mum has Motor Neuron Disease/ALS and has the correct disability cards and a visible lanyard. When we boarded, the bus was about half full and there was a short break in loading. I quietly approached the driver, Keith, to enquire about the accessible seats for my mum. Before I could even finish my sentence, he cut me off with “Go back to your seat” – twice – and raised his voice. These seats were instead given to a family with two children. We emailed the company afterwards, not to complain but to raise awareness, and were told we should have booked in advance as the seats are “very popular” and that it was “a bit unfair” to ask once the bus was moving (we hadn’t left yet). They also said loading the bus at 7am is “very stressful.” I don’t know about them, but living with a disease where your body doesn’t work like everyone else’s anymore is far more stressful – and being told you’re “unfair” for simply asking for accessible seating is disappointing. Note we are a group of 4 and I wasn’t going to ask for 4 seats, only 2 so Mum could sit with Dad. If the seats were at the back, the front or on the roof we wouldn’t have cared, just the most accessible seats. Our tour guide, Josh, was lovely – knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate. However, it was obvious he was overworked; he mentioned several times how tired he was and even skipped the quiz at the end because of exhaustion. These guides truly make or break the trip, so I hope the company looks after them better. I liked how he gave us the opportunity to request music, and questions. He also knew the answer to every one! On the positive side, the bus was clean, the logistics ran smoothly, and Keith was a safe driver. Unfortunately, his manner towards us was unpleasant and the company’s response to our email left a sour taste. Accessibility isn’t a “special request” – it’s a necessity – and it should be handled with respect not a “first in first served” basis.

Great Trip

10/10 Trip! Ona was delightful and very knowledgeable and shared personal stories from her childhood in Belfast. Ona and Ray had a fun banter. Ray is an excellent driver.

Great Time!

Had a great time. Giants Causeway was gorgeous. Dunluce Castle and Bushmills were great too. Wish there was less time in Belfast and more at Dunluce so we could actually go in though

Amazing places

I made 5 guided tours in Scotland and Ireland. Keith and Josh were the best among all. He spoke clearly, informed the history of the places and male the journey very pleasant.

Josh e Kitt sono stati due ciceroni eccellenti. Josh ha allietato il lungo viaggio con nozioni e piccoli aneddoti molto interessanti, conditi con la sua simpatia e battute facili da capire anche per chi non è madrelingua! Peccato per i ritardi, probabilmente dovuti al traffico, che ci hanno fatto vivere un po' di fretta Galway, ma per il resto è andato tutto bene!

Great Views, Educational, and All Around Fun

Loved our tour with Josh and Keith - they were wonderful, and so was all the learning and beautiful sights. Wild that in one day, we could go fully across Ireland and enjoy two major destinations for several hours each. The Atlantic coastal way is quite windy - so if you get carsick easy beware that 2 hour portion (bring medicine) - but the Cliffs and Galway were immaculate. Absolutely loved the experience, would do again.

Excellent tour with the opportunity to visit outside of Dublin without having to drive. Paddy was an excellent guide and Pete was great driving. I highly recommend this tour!!!

Great Experience

We really enjoyed our trip with Josh and Keith! Great experience that we will remember always. We learned a lot and took some amazing photos. The WiFi didn’t work for me on the bus but that was the only negative.

To the Cliffs and Galway!

Our guide, Maimhwas terrific. Very knowledgeable. She entertai ed us with stories of Irish history and folklore. She also had plenty of Irish music that she shared . She had a great map of shops and places to eat in Galway. Our driver John made it look easy guiding our bus along narrow local roads getting to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway.

Amazing tour with Josh and Keith! Josh speaks clearly and slowly and that’s a great plus for non native speakers. I would definitely recommend the tour with them :)

Exploring Ireland in the sun!

Josh, the tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and funny! We enjoyed how he incorporated activities through out the trip. Marcin, the driver, handled the narrow roads like a pro!

A bit of everything

The main draw of this tour was the Giant's Causeway for me, although the Belfast Black Cab experience was really interesting. Rory and Sarah did a great job leading the group, and Sean, our cabby, shared his lived experiences with us, and took some great pics.

Trip to the Cliffs and Galway

It was a very well organized trip. Sarah our driver and host was very friendly, knowledgeable and shared lots of good information. She also managed the time well and repeatedly information just to make sure.
