Absolutely recommend this tour!

I would absolutely recommend this day tour - the Cliffs of Moher are definitely worth a visit and Galway is a nice city to visit as well. I think the length of the bus ride is worth it given the experience and sights, however, if you would like to really explore Galway, it would maybe be recommendable to spend a few nights there instead (i.e. there was enough time for lunch and a bit of walking down the main street and sights, but I could have easily spent a few hours more there). That said, I would absolutely recommend this day tour and our guide on the bus (Eve) was fantastic and gave a lot of interesting and useful information.

Favorite experience in Ireland hands down

Liam is an absolute treasure, this tour was by far our favorite day and experience in Ireland. All the knowledge he imparted with his unique sense of humor made our day. If you’re going to do a bus tour do this one!

Entertaining and Informative

Stephen O’Malley as our tour guide made this trip unforgettably enjoyable. We didn’t realize how lucky we were to take a Wild Rovers tour with both a driver and a tour guide until we took a Paddy Wagon tour the next day with just a driver who talked when he wasn’t in traffic. Galway was the highlight of the trip for us - such a gorgeous city. The Cliffs of Moher were breathtaking. There were plenty of opportunities to use a restroom on the full day trip. Remember to bring waterproof jackets since the weather can change quickly.

A sampler platter of Ireland city life, the great outdoors, and rural life

Liam gave us a tour filled with storytelling, personal experiences, and singing traditional songs. He was informative and entertaining and clearly passionate and proud Irishman. Marco kept us safe along the way through the mountains and on country roads. Kilkenny was a city that had so much too see historical sights mixed in with modern businesses, Glendalough was beautiful park, and the sheep herding was a great way to top it off and see the sheep and herding dogs in action.

Great experience and value!

Absolutely fantastic experience, highly recommended. It was the highlight of my Dublin trip, and I would not hesitate to book another tour with Wild Rover and Liam in particular my next time in Ireland

Amazing Day Trip

Liam and Marco were amazing hosts, we enjoyed every single Minute of it!! You first visit the City of Kilkenny, followed by a beautiful trip into the wicklow mountains and a visit to a shepherd. Worth every penny!

Fun Day Trip

We took this tour during a visit to Dublin to explore more of Ireland, and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Daniel, was fun and informative, and JP expertly navigated the roads near the Cliffs and Galway. The tour was well-paced with plenty of comfort stops. The only hiccup was some initial confusion boarding the bus—though we arrived on time, the first bus filled up quickly. Luckily, another arrived shortly after, and everything went smoothly from there. The Cliffs are gorgeous and a sight to be seen, and Galway is a fun, friendly city.

Simply Fabulous

Fabulous experience. The Cliffs of Moher were breathtaking even with the rain and high winds. The burren along Wild Atlantic Way was fascinating. And Galway was quaint yet energetic. Eve was simply marvelous as our most knowledgeable guide. And Marco inspired confidence with his professional driving.

AMAZING people and AMAZING experiences

My mother and I had Liam and Marco for the Kilkenny tour and they were absolutely amazing. Marco was a fabulous driver. We felt very safe the whole trip and the ride was very steady. Liam was the best tour guide ever. Very intelligent as he gave many facts during his tour while still being very entertaining. On the bus, we laughed, we sang, and we had an amazing time. This has been the best tour I’ve ever been on and I would highly recommend it to anyone that visits Ireland.

Marko did a great job driving the bus and Liam was an amazing tour guide, telling a lot of interesting and entertaining stories. The whole tour was very well organized.

Day in the country

Our whole day was great with Liam as our guide and Marco driving ! Great stories, perspective and information on Irish life, past and present. The Sheep farm experience will be an unforgettable experience for me getting to hold. a baby lamb!

Amazing trip!

We had a great time and Daniel was a really friendly tour guide. I really enjoyed his sense of humor. He also shared some great fun facts during the drive through the different cities. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic tour!

Fantastic tour! We loved it!! It’s a long day, so wear comfortable shoes, bring layers, and pack some snacks. We stopped at a gas station on the way there and back, but there was barely time to use the loo (ladies room line was very long). The cliffs were magnificent and 2 hours were the perfect amount of time to admire, take photos, grab a coffee, and do a short hike. Remember to leave enough time for the line to the loo again! Our driver, Sydney, was amazing through narrow roads and our guide, Stephen, was very funny, entertaining, knowledgeable, and informative! We did the short walking tour with Stephen in Gallway, got fish & chips at McDonaugh’s and had a little time left to explore but the Main Street is relatively small. Overall a great experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Dublin!

Great day trip from Dublin

Liam did an excellent job of covering the highlights while telling stories of the places we visited. Excellent variety during the day trip with beautiful scenery.

We took the tour that included the beautiful little town of Kilkenny and the demonstration of sheepherding with a few other stops for nice photos, and we were completely delighted with the entire tour and experience. It was better than a similar tour we did in Scotland before visiting Dublin. It started with the comfortable full-size bus, which was much nicer than the passenger van we did our other tour with. I only wish there was a toilet on the bus, but there were enough stops with bathrooms that it didn't become an issue. Our guide Elisa was a delight, with quick humor and very knowledgeable about Irish history. She clearly wasn't just repeating some memorized information. Our driver, I think named John, did a great job with all the driving, including on some narrow country roads, so it was nice to relax and all we had to do was get off the bus. Before the different stops, Elisa gave us a run-down and showed us all some information we could take pictures of, such as her recommendations for meals in Kilkenny. I loved Kilkenny and could have spent the full day there. Elisa gave us a great walking tour and then we still had time to look around the town and visit the centuries-old church. If I'm ever in Dublin again I decided I want to take the train to Kilkenny and spend more time there. We saw beautiful Irish country scenery and everybody loved the sheep herding demonstration with a delightful longtime farmer who told us about his dogs and how he trains them. The cute dog rounded up the sheep so well on whistle commands and it was fascinating to watch. My friend was delighted at the chance to briefly hold one of the cute little lambs there after the demonstration. The price of the tour was also very reasonable, about half of what we paid for a similar tour in Scotland. And we were back in Dublin early enough to have dinner at a nice restaurant on our last night in the city. Elisa told us about some of the other tours she does with Wild Rover. I definitely would have taken more tours if we hadn't had to leave Dublin the next day. She is a superb and informed guide, enthusiastic and fun and obviously enjoys her job. Thanks, Elisa and John. We had such a great time thanks to you. A highlight of our two-week vacation.
