Wonderful experience, despite the rain! Great guides, very smooth journey!! Loved the Giants Csuseway, awesome scenery. Well worth the trip!! The Belfast walking tour guide was very friendly, easy to follow around.

Excellent trip in spite of the rain

This was our third trip with Wild Rover and we really enjoyed it. Our guide (Matt) and our driver (Krishna) were fantastic. We unfortunately went out in a rainy day so the visit to the Castle and Giants Causeway were quite wet. We did enjoy our time though and the scenery was breathtaking. I will warn you that the Giants Causeway was a highly tourist area. The Visitor Center was a ripoff. That is not the fault of Wild Rover so does not impact my review, but be warned if you visit. The area was very crowded and limited dining options. Due to the rain we spent quite a bit of time at the Nook having a few pints and some food. It was priced for tourists but the food was decent enough and we were dry.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Liam was a wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable and funny. I could not recommend this tour more.

Save your money, don’t do this tour

I was very disappointed with this tour. The day started very bad. We arrived early, as requested by the company and were watching children pick pocketing people in the area. Having to arrive early to a place where petty crime is occurring is very disconcerting. Then, there was poor communication regarding which bus was which, causing lots of confusion about where you actually needed to go. Despite arriving in the earliest group because we had to move to another bus, we got shoved by other passengers to the middle of the line making us sit far back in the bus. I understand seats are first come first served but because of your disorganization people who showed up late got better seats. Then, our tour guide Matt tortured us the rest of the day with his lack of knowledge. When he did speak it was jumbled and not well organized. However, at least he kept his talking to a minimum as the day went on. He talked a little bit about Irish music then said he was playing Irish music, but by the end of the day we were just being tormented by his own personal playlist. We opted to do the tour with the walking tour of Belfast, but the Wild Rover Bus that left before us was almost 30 minutes late making the short 2 hours we spent in Belfast even shorter. The walking tour guide was new, so even starting late we tried to give him a chance, but the tour was so bad, we walked away, which I’ve never done before. It just felt like a waste to continue on with the tour. The only good part of the day was the time spent at Giant’s Causeway. However, I went with someone who knew the area and that some trails would be too long for our time, which Matt failed to tell us. I was very disappointed with our guide. Every time he wanted us to wake up he would walk around the bus whispering “wake up” in a way that will haunt my dreams. Matt also requested a tip and his driver watched us all as we left to ensure tips were given, it was very uncomfortable and unprofessional.

A wonderful experience

A wonderful trip. We enjoyed it a lot. Our taxi driver in Belfast, Pat with the Hat, gave us great insights into the history of the city and conflict. Our tour guide Kevin and our driver Donna were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!

Great tour!

Great experience! Our guide was very nice and I appreciated that he started off each location with an intro/walking tour. The sheep farm was probably my favorite part! Overall a solid tour, just wear comfortable shoes and bring your rain jacket!

Paul is incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable and he offered great tours at each site and kept us all entertained on the bus. Pete was a great driver.

Great day with caring guide and driver

Although the day had a bit of a bumpy start, it turned out to be a very nice day. We were the first patrons at the pick up spot, but we were cut off before we could enter the bus by patrons who had just shown up. Before we got on the bus we were reminded that this bus was a “peaceful” bus, despite the fact we didn’t say or do anything after being cut off. Once we got on the bus things got better, Frank and Joe were great. We noticed both of them looking out for us and knew who we were, checking to make sure we always made it back. Frank was very knowledgeable and told us lots about Ireland and its history that we didn’t previously know. Frank and Joe had a humorous banter that made the trip very enjoyable. Frank clearly communicated the expectations, which helped ensure we got the most out of the day. All in all, it was a great day in Ireland due to everything Frank and Joe did.

Great day, caring team

The day started rough when we were at the pick up spot waiting for 10 minutes before we saw anyone else coming on the tour. The bus arrived right on time and we were heading over when we were cut off by individuals who go there later than us. It was irritating but we didn’t say anything. Before getting on the bus we were pulled aside and informed this was a peaceful bus. After that the day got better, our tour guide, Frank, was informative on the way out of Dublin and pointed out sights of interest and significance, they also did this for the other locations we went. Both the bus driver, Joe, and tour guide knew who we were made sure to look for the sisters. They communicated clearly and effectively through out the day. It made the day run much smoother. I had been on wild rover tours before and this one made me happy to book with them again.

Don’t leave Ireland without seeing

What a magnificent view you’ll see here. Epic is an understatement. The stop in Galway was also a blast. Fun people, great food and a lovely town.

Overall Poor Experience

I am very disappointed with this overall experience. In 2025 I did the giants causeway and black taxi cab experience and it was wonderful! However, this time the pick up was disorganized and we were moved from bus to bus. Our tour guide, Matt, peaked at 8am with his bit about testing his Brittney Spears equipment and saying it’s Brittney b*tch. After that I found that his bits and information provided left much to be desired. We arrived in Belfast on time and were told we needed to wait 5 minutes for the other bus (that left the giants causeway before us) before we could begin the tours. We ended up waiting closer to 25 minutes. We tried to give the tour guide a chance but after waiting 25 minutes we felt as though our time would be spent better seeing Belfast. I have never walked away in the middle of a tour but I felt the need to this time. The only highlight of the day was the giants causeway. I had a wonderful time seeing this and walking the trail to the causeway. Overall though this was not worth the money spent on this tour.

Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher is definitely a sight to be seen however our tour guide Chris and bus driver Joe made the whole experience that more enjoyable. This is the tour to go on

We have booked a day trip to Cliff of Moher & Galway city from Dublin and it was amazing! We learned so much during this trip about Ireland and its history, admired its breathtaking landscape and castles, while also spotting fairy trees along the way! Gillian walked us through all the stories while Stipe drove us straight to the right destination, accompanied by Irish music or famous Irish musicians songs. Truly amazing & all worthwhile!

We had a Tour with Eva and Sarah and it was absolutely amazing and one of the best and dearest experiences on our Ireland Trip. We really had a great time and enjoyed listening to Eva. I would definitely recommend the Tour as well as our lovely Guide (Eva) and our Driver (Sarah). They really are the loveliest people and Hostesses! ☺️
