Went on a bank holiday so...
Went on a bank holiday so the tour order was reversed - I liked it much better than original - late lunch in Kilkenny. I would have liked more time in Kilkenny but won’t have it anything else short. Great adventure!

Experience a bit of Northern Ireland
While we loved the stop at Dunluce Castle and the Giant's Causeway, the stop in Belfast was a bit lacking. I think it may have been more interesting and fun if the trip included the Titanic Museum or the Black Taxi Tour or something (even if it means that the tickets would be more expensive). Krishna and Brendan were entertaining and capable as driver and tour guide. I was very grateful to be able to get to experience Northern Ireland - which would not have happened if we had to drive there on our own.

Nulla di imperdibile, purtroppo. Tanti km e molto poco da vedere.
Partenza ore 7. Lunghissssssimo tragitto in bus di oltre 12 ore, con una prima sosta lunga di circa 2 ore alle Cliff of Moher (nella pioggia e nella nebbia), partenza ore 12.45 per altre 2 infinite ore di viaggio su curve ripetute della strada statale per raggiungere Galway e finalmente pranzare (esausti) solo intorno alle 14.45. Il rientro a Dublino dopo un'ora e mezza circa appare un miracolo. Niente da rimproverare alla guida Julia e all'autista Paolo, entrambi molto capaci ed entusiasti, ma il tour in sé andrebbe decisamente rivisto. All'arrivo eravamo distrutti e per nulla appagati dall'esperienza; se tornassi indietro con quegli 280 euro di spesa prenoterei altri musei, anche più piccoli e meno noti, nella città di Dublino.

We took the Cliffs of Moher, Wild Atlantic Way, and Galway day trip with Wild Rover Tours, and while the scenery was spectacular, it was our guide, Daithi, and driver, Casper, who truly made the experience unforgettable. The day began with a visit to the Cliffs of Moher, followed by a drive along the Wild Atlantic Way and an afternoon in Galway. The landscapes were breathtaking, but what stood out most was the way Daithi brought Ireland’s history to life throughout the journey. Through stories, humour, and a carefully chosen soundtrack of traditional Irish music and songs by well-known Irish artists, the drive from Dublin felt as much like a history lesson as it did a sightseeing tour. Daithi shared some of the darker chapters of Irish history, particularly the hardships of the Great Famine. One of the most powerful sights along the route were the famine walls—stone walls built by starving people in exchange for food or wages. Many of these walls lead nowhere and serve no practical purpose, yet they remain as enduring reminders of the suffering, resilience, and determination of the Irish people. Learning about them added a depth and meaning to the trip that I wasn’t expecting. Daithi’s storytelling made these lessons memorable and deeply moving. Our day ended in Galway, a city that immediately felt vibrant, historic, and full of character. The colourful streets, music, and energy left a lasting impression. My only regret is that we experienced Galway as part of a large tour. We arrived alongside several other tour buses, and the crowds made it difficult to fully appreciate everything the city has to offer. In fact, I found the number of tour buses at several stops throughout the day a little overwhelming. Galway especially felt like a place that deserves to be explored at a slower pace. That said, when I returned to the bus feeling a little overwhelmed, Daithi’s warmth, humour, and enthusiasm quickly brought me back to enjoying the experience. He has a gift for making everyone feel welcome and engaged. A special mention also goes to Casper, who expertly navigated some of the narrowest and most winding roads imaginable with complete confidence and ease. The scenery was incredible, but it was Daithi and Casper who made the day memorable. If you’re looking for a tour that combines stunning landscapes with a genuine understanding of Ireland’s history, culture, and people, this trip is well worth taking.

Spent a glorious day touring Belfast, Dunluce Castle & Giants Causeway with Dave & Lisa. Couldn’t ask for a better time or better stories! Appreciated the level of care and respect Dave & Lisa had for the Island and their tour guests. 5 stars is simply not enough!! I’d recommend Wild Rover to everyone!

I took two tours last week with Wild Rover! Both tours were exceptional. Darren was superb taking us to the Cliffs of Moyer. David and Billy were also exceptional taking us to Belfast and the Giant’s Causeway. I would absolutely take Wild Rover Tours again when in Ireland!

Rory (Guide) and J.P (driver) were absolutely fantastic!! Rory was amazing with his knowledge of the Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland, while J.P was a top notch driver navigating the roads of the country. We did the day trip to Giants Causeway/walking tour of Belfast and I would highly recommend it. It’s a great way to see some of Northern Ireland when staying in Dublin. Just be prepared for multiple weather changes: started with rain, then sunshine (warm), then back to rain and so on.. lol.. The only way you know what the weather is going to be like, is to be outside and see for yourself.

The day trip is tiring. It takes around 2 hours to get there and the same to get back. As a suggestion, they could distribute water on the bus. The trip is long, and I think it would be worth the price paid. The tour itself is worth it. We had a good time both on the cliffs and in the city of Galway. I would do it again, but I would consider spending a night in Galway.

This was easily one of the highlights of our trip, and I cannot recommend Dave and Lisa highly enough. If you’re lucky enough to have them as your guides, you’re in for an absolute treat! Our guide Dave was awesome. Good stories to fill the long drive but not too chatty. Organized the passengers very well. Our driver Lisa was also awesome. My wife and I enjoyed the whole day. We would do it again.
