Tour guide John and driver Paola are the best. This was one of the best experiences. They made the long trip very entertaining and enjoyable.

Wonderful experience overall

It was a great experience overall although the small tour bus we were traveling in had limited leg room and seat space. My son is a big man , and was uncomfortable. Thankfully the bus wasn’t full so he could sit himself instead of beside me. Next time I would have to do something else though. Our tour guide was pretty good. I had a passenger behind me that played music quite loudly on the way back. The recommendation for lunch was great.

Incredible experience!

I truly could not ask for more, this bus tour was absolutely incredible. I will be recommending this tour to everyone who is wanting to visit Ireland. The drive was scenic and the tour guide was very informative. You get about two hours at the Cliffs of Moher and two hours in Galway with a gas station stop about an hour into the drive and an hour away from your arrival back to Dublin. Seriously, perfect!

Neil was an excellent guide. He explained everything patiently and enthusiastically. I speak very little English, but I was able to understand most of his explanations. The places we visited were wonderful.

I did three Viator trips...

I did three Viator trips during my stay in Ireland and even another from this company. This was without a doubt the best of the three. I wish I could remember the tour guide’s name, but I believe the driver was Pete. The tour guide was so knowledgeable, kind, and humorous. He had books of Irish last names and helped me find the origins for my family. He made a point of checking in with everyone in the group throughout the day and play strategic music as certain points of the journey. Yes, the trip is long at 13 hours but it was so well worth it. I’d do a tour with this company or to this location again without hesitation.

The best experience ever!

It was absolutely amazing! From 8 am outside the hotel pick up to drop off at 6.30 we lived inside a dream. The whole experience was made enjoyable and informative with lots of stories and anecdotes added in by Neil our guide who was from Kilkenny himself - we learnt so much in a very relaxed way. Billy the driver - from China and his home has been Ireland for the last 25 years - was excellent and very friendly and helpful! Both Neil and Billy truly made everyone’s day magical. The man above provided the best sunshine ever throughout the experience and this of course is always the cherry on the cake in any experience. Kilkenny - historical - beautiful- really tidy and all the hanging flowers on lampposts and around the city stood in full glory to create a colour scheme which only nature can do - we enjoyed a light breakfast in Langton’s - great service and friendly staff - we visited Butler house - words can’t describe the beauty so hope the photos can help. After the castle and grounds and the fantastic artisan shopping centre we headed to Wicklow - expert driving and Neil’s stories added to the atmosphere. Then Glendalough - everything about Kevin, the protagonist here. Nature adds all the trimmings - always a suggestive and mystical experience here. You don’t really know which realm you live in and it doesn’t even matter. Worlds intertwine for a moment and it’s unique. After this off to Cullen’s sheep farm where Richie met us with his flocks of sheep and Spot his sheepdog on duty who rounded up the sheep at Richie’s commands. Then the emotion for all to hold the 16 day old lambs. This was the high point as holding the cuddly warm lambs is indescribable- overwhelmingly emotional and one of the nicest things I’ve ever experienced in my whole life - my son was absolutely enchanted, and rightly so. Then music and more stories about Hollywood and funny stories on the journey back to Dublin. Wild Rover tours is well worth booking - our school has been using them for years and we always get great feedback but yesterday I tried this experience with them and it was even more than I expected. Great value - expert tour guide Neil and Billy the best driver in Ireland all made it a memorable tour and luckily we will have these memories forever. Thank you Wild Rover!

An Incredible Day Along Ireland's Northern Coast We booked this tour through Viator and spent an absolutely fantastic day visiting Dunluce Castle, Giant's Causeway, and Belfast with Wild Rover Tours. A huge thank you to our guide and driver, who kept us informed, entertained, and laughing throughout the journey. Their humor, storytelling, and ability to keep a full bus engaged made the long day fly by. What we appreciated most was that they didn't simply provide historical information—they shared practical, insider tips that genuinely improved our experience. Their advice about the best walking paths, viewpoints, hidden corners, timing, and how to make the most of each stop helped us see and experience far more than we would have on our own. One tip was especially valuable. We both have some walking challenges, and our guide made sure we knew about the shuttle bus available at the Giant's Causeway for the return trip back up the hill. That information made a tremendous difference and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about the steep climb back. It was a small detail, but it demonstrated the thoughtfulness and care that made this tour exceptional. Another outstanding recommendation was **The Nook**. Our guide suggested it, and we are so glad he did. What a treasure! The food was delicious, the atmosphere welcoming, and the service excellent. A special shout-out to the chefs and the entire team at The Nook for creating such a wonderful stop during our day. It was one of those unexpected discoveries that makes a trip even more memorable. The Giant's Causeway was breathtaking, and the recommended routes allowed us to fully appreciate both the geological wonder and the spectacular coastal scenery. Dunluce Castle provided stunning views and endless photography opportunities, while Belfast offered a fascinating glimpse into the city's history, culture, and ongoing transformation. We also thoroughly enjoyed the local Belfast guides. Their knowledge, personal perspectives, and ability to explain complex history in a thoughtful and balanced way added tremendous value to the visit. This tour struck the perfect balance between scenery, history, culture, and fun. Every stop felt worthwhile, and the guidance we received made the entire day run smoothly and successfully. Raise your hand!"), and I was listening intently to what the tour guide was saying into the microphone the whole time. Nothing was said about the walking tour! So I arrived in Galway completely unprepared and knew nothing about the history of the streets and buildings I was passing. Then I got lost for ages in a parking lot because I thought it led to the sea and I could take some nice photos. When the tour guide told me the tour was canceled, he said he'd say something about the city once we were back on the bus. But he didn't keep his word and stubbornly continued with his program. I really wanted to see Galway because I met someone from Ireland in Germany who said that Galway, his hometown, is incredibly beautiful. That's why I chose this particular bus tour, as it went to Galway and offered a walking tour. This tour didn't happen, and I wasted 13 hours traveling through the countryside on an uncomfortable bus, completely exhausted and for nothing, wasting an entire day of my only 6 days in Ireland. The day before, friends had booked a similar trip through the same company, and their walking tour was also simply canceled without any prior notice. When I complained again via email, the first email stated that they were sorry, that they had investigated and confirmed my statements (tour canceled), and that my feedback was valuable. There was no offer of a price reduction. Further back-and-forth correspondence hasn't yielded the desired result, which is why I had to open a case with my bank. Very, very, very bad experience with this company. I will certainly never book with them again. Man sagte mir, ich darf den Bus nicht verlassen, sonst verliere ich meinen Platz. In der Reisebeschreibung stand, es würden ausreichend Pinkelpausen gemacht. Es stand aber nirgends, dass man ganz am Anfang nicht mehr pinkeln darf, wenn man den Bus betreten hat. Mir wurde gesagt, dass das nun mal der Bordingprozess sei. Nur weil es ein Prozess ist, macht es die Sache noch lange nicht richtig. Bis zum nächsten Stopp waren es 110 min, die ich mit voller Blase verbringen musst. (Und natürlich war ich, bevor ich zum Abfahrtsort gefahren bin, noch in meinem Hotelzimmer auf dem WC.) An Bord gibt es keine Toiletten. Aber das war nich nicht alles. Ich hatte extra diesen Tour-Unternehmer ausgewählt, weil er in Galway eine Walking Tour anbietet. Ich hatte mich sehr darauf gefreut. In Galway angekommen, hatte ich mich auf den Start der Walking Tour gefreut. Aber diese wurde ohne ankündigung abgesagt. Angeblich kein Interesse. Das Interesse wurde vorab aber gar nicht abgefragt, andere Sachen wurden aber abgefragt, (wie z.B. , wer ein Guiness trinkt - Hände hoch), und ich habe die ganze Zeit wachsam verfolgt, was der Reisebegleiter ins Mikrofon gesprochen hat. Es wurde nichts zur Walking Tour gesag!! Ich bin also völlig unvorbereitet in Galway angekommen und wusste nichts über die Geschichte der Straßen und Gebäude an denen ich vorbeikam. Dann habe mich auch noch ewig an einem Parkplatz verirrt, weil ich dachte, dort geht es zum Meer und ich könnte ein paar schöne Fotos machen. Der Reisebegleiter (Guid), meinte, als er mir sagte, dass die Zour abgesagt ist, dass er nich etwas zur Stadt sagt, wenn wir wieder zurück im Bus sind. Auch daran hatte sich der Guid nicht gehalten und sein Programm stur weitergemacht. Ich wollte Galway unbedingt sehen, denn in Deutschland habe ich jemanden aus Irland kennengelernt, der meinte, dass Galway, seine Heimatstadt, unglaublich schön ist. Und deswegen habe ich genau diese Busreise gewählt, da sie zu Galway führt und eine Walking Tour anbot. Diese hat nicht stattgefunden und ich bin völlig umsonst und erschöpft 13 Stunden im unbequemen Bus durchs Land gefahren und habe einen ganzen Tag meiner, nur 6 Tage in Irland, verschwendet. Einen Tag zuvor hatten Freunde eine ähnliche Reise über den Anbieter gebucht, und auch dort wurde die Walking Tour ohne vorherige Ankündigung einfach abgesagt. Als ich mich per Mail noch mal beschwert hatte, stand in der ersten Mail, dass es ihnen Leid tut, dass sie nachgeforscht haben und meine Aussagen richtig sind (Tour abgesagt) und, dass mein Feedback wertvoll sei. Keine Anstalten von einem Preisnachlass. Auch weiteres hin und her schreiben führt bisher nicht zum gewünscht Ergebnis, weshalb ich einen Fall bei meinem Geldinstitut eröffnen musste. Sehr, sehr, sehr, schlechte Erfahrungen mit diesem Unternehmen. Ich werde hier mit Sicherheit nicht noch einmal buchen.
