Meh.
The transportation and the visit to Murano and Burano were great. Unfortunately, the guide added little to the experience. She seemed rushed and sometimes annoyed with her group. When she got ahead of the group, the transmitters broke up and she couldn’t be heard. Our guide had a lack of awareness of where her group was and made little effort to keep the group together. We were hoping to learn more about these two special islands and the people who lived there, but truly, this is the only Viator tour in which we felt like cruise ship passengers dropped off at a site.

La guida fornisce indicazioni solo durante la navigazione, poi sulle isole si è liberi e si gira per circa un'oretta ciscuna isola. A Murano c'è una esibizione in un laboratorio del vetro. Io ho fatto l'escursione con i miei figli di 12 e 14.

Beatrice was so kind and very knowledgeable. She was personable and made for a great guide to and from the gondolas. The gondolier wasn't very personable but it was a great experience none the less.

Not worth the money...
It was 20 mins max and down the Grand Canal for less than 5 mins of that time. The Gondolier spent more time shouting at the other Gondoliers and barely acknowledged us. One of the other guests fell (almost into the water!) as Gondolier pulled in to the dock as the gondola tipped and he didn't even attempt to help her.

Interesting tour of Venice
Our tour guide, Gloria, was informative, entertaining and enthusiastic about her home town of Venice. We had a wonderful two hours learning about both the historical and present day Venice, with Gloria providing personal touches from her childhood. Even the teenagers enjoyed the tour!
