This is a must! Great Tour!

The meeting point was a bit confusing. Trip Advsor took us to their old office and we barely made it in time to the new office which was not easy to find with the crazy streets of Venice. Give yourself more than enough time to find the meeting location. All that aside, the tour was fantastic. We saw so much. Our tour guide was very informative and funny and it did not feel rushed. The gondola ride was a nice bonus. I highly recommend.

Excellent guide, Lucia,...

Excellent guide, Lucia, had tremendous knowledge of the history and Art history of Venice. She was personable and made the tour interesting. There is a lot of walking involved in the Doge Palace.

Make your own mask

This is a nice hands on experience. Make your own souvenier. There are two places to choose with this provider and I chose Atelier in Prisons Palace. It is 1 hour time slots (even when for some reason it indicates 1h 15min when booking), we arrived late as could not "find" the entrance. Just ask people on the Prison Palace door and they will guide you upstairs as there is no particular sign- and we were not the only ones looking around confused. Arriving late was ok as the session before had run over time. So we started late. For us 1h was not enough time. There are times you need to wait the paint to dry etc so be ready to move quick or choose small mask. Being last session of the day some paints on tables were little dry but refilled when requested. Good selection of masks available. Workshop was led by an art student not a local craftsman. So maybe choose the option for Local Artisan Studio if you hope to see an actual mask maker is my guess. With this location you will get access to the prison museum, so if interested you are welcomed to look around. You can leave your mask to dry and pick up later or next day during the workshop hours.

Pésima la experiencia! La guía solo hablaba inglés, la primera parte que era en la cuidad salió caminando rapidísimo y nos dejó atrás, casi la perdemos… íbamos con personas mayores y no los tuvo en cuenta! Y el paseo en góndola duró muy poco y la verdad no me parece que valga la pena! Demasiado costoso para la experiencia!

She navigated all of the crowds very well and managed to keep everyone together, which is no mean feat with the amount of people in the Basillica and the Palace. Please thank her again for us. Tour was more expensive through get my guide than at Venice tours by 10 euros. Tour started over 20 minutes late that made the whole group depart on the gondola at the time we were meant to arrive back. Personally missed my train back to Verona with another group missing out as they had other plans. No communication from the main office throughout whilst waiting around for this. A good experience but a sour taste left.
