Product: Venice: Grand Canal by Gondola with Live Commentary

It was fun to ride in a gondola since that is what Venice is all about, but the ride was less than 20 minutes and basically was one loop around a city block. The gondolier did point out a few sites and dropped us off at another dock so that we could explore more of Venice with less walking, but we felt as if for the amount we paid the tour should have at least been the 30 minutes promoted when we signed up.

The gondola ride was lovely, really a special thing you must do when in Venice. A mixture of the busy main river and the quieter side routes was lovely. The guided walk beforehand didn't really provide anything that fantastic; we found it difficult to understand what was being said, felt very rushed and like the guide didn't really care. Worth the money but the guide didn't bring much new or interesting facts to the table.

Saw new parts of venice which was nice, but the tour itself wasn’t hugely engaging or in depth

The only improvement would be some singing by the gondolier. Or, at least some interaction.

Both tours are worth doing The walking tour incorporated dual languages which is great for inclusion However it does mean it’s a little scripted And the tour guide has less time to personalise the walk St Marks Basilica was beautifully explained by the lovely Anna who was not only knowledgable but very efficient , personable and friendly. She took a huge amount of time to explain the finer details you would not likely get without a guide Definitely do skip the Line as the queues are huge at this time of year

Gondola Ride

Due to a train strike when visiting Venice we we were late for our booking. The staff at Venice Tours were amazing and accomadated us on the next available tour. The booking includes a walking tour that we found informative. The gondola ride is lovely but does not include the main bridges Rialto and Bridge of Sighs. We loved our experience and would recommend

Can’t say enough about this tour! A must book!!!

The meeting location was great, indoor and with Air Conditioning! We started with a VR intro and info session. We then headed out to our tour with our guide, Sarah of Doge’s Palace and the prisons. After we went to the Basilica. Between those spots we were provided info on the buildings and monuments around and across the Grand Canal. We are on a 30 day family vacation and have had many tour guides in Italy, Greece and Croatia, and by far Sarah has been our favorite. The way she shares her knowledge and the history in a storytelling format along with thought provoking questions and leaving us in “suspense” till we move into the next area…she did a fabulous job making this lengthy tour feel like it went by so quickly. We had such a great time!!!

Murano & Burano Tour

We had a fantastic time on the Murano and Burano tour with Camilla!
