Murano and Burano Bellisimo!

What a great day with Francesco! He took us to the Murano island in his private boat and to Burano Isle with the colorful houses. We had a lovely lunch and wine with him. So gracious and hospitable ! It was raining and he offered us to take a covered taxi. Such a great tour ! Happy to have met him and gone on the tour !

A perfect way to experience Venice

We were only visiting Venice for one day so the gondola ride was a perfect way to experience Venice. Beautiful and serene with skilled gondoliers navigating the narrow canals.

Bien pero no pudimos pasar x los puentes

Solo paseamos por el gran canal no se podía pasar por las calles y por debajo de los puentes porque el agua estaba muy alto.

This was not entirely as sold

I am a very regular visitor to cities and I always do a walking tour on the first day as I think it gives you a real feel of the city before exploring in more detail. This tour was ok. Not awful but not great. We set off on time and the guide was very nice indeed and clearly has a real passion for Venice itself. The problem is that the tour was not entirely as sold. I booked an English tour but this one was English and Italian. The guide did say that it might become a little annoying (unfortunately I speak no Italian and some of the other guests spoke no English). This meant that it became impossible to fully connect with the guide as I was regularly having to switch off and then back on again. It became a little confusing and towards the end, quite annoying. It was a real shame and I felt quite let down by the tour company as it was not a cheap tour. Had I known it was dual language I would not have booked. That said, none of this was the fault of the guide who was lovely. It was just a shame as when I do these tours I like to really connect with the guide and their passion for the city. It was just not possible to do this on this tour.

Worth the cost

Nice experience. Not too long, not too short. Would have been better if the gondola person told us a little about the buildings we were going by but still good.

Amazing experience. I didn’t see it coming

The tour was excellent! Our guide was amazing—very funny, knowledgeable, and explained everything in a clear and engaging way. He made sure to keep the whole group together and was always attentive so no one was left behind. The tour itself was very complete, and the visit to the palace was truly phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Le Palais des Doges: très bien. Ça valait le côut demandé. La basilique Saint-Marc : accès limité qu’à une petite partie de la basilique. Décevant pour le coût demandé. On s’attendait à une visite plus élargie de la basilique.

The guide on the walking tour was terrible. The walk was rushed and the commentary was disjointed, disorganized and difficult to follow.
