We went on the 11am tour and arrived back in Venice at 4pm. Elena our guide was great and gave really good information along the way. The first stop in Murano we watched a glass blowing demonstration with Matteo who was amazing at his craft - this plus the shop lasted around 30 mins then we had 30 mins to explore on our own. The second stop in Murano we had about 30 mins learning about lace and how it is made and also tried a traditional Essa biscuit. We then had 1.5hrs to explore the beautiful, colourful houses, and time to have some food or gelato, buy some souvenirs and walk around. A brilliant trip and well worth the price. It was also really nice on board the boat with plenty of seating and being able to see the different islands.

guide Merina was great, unfortunately Murano was full, and had to go to a different factory and it was packed, felt rushed and didn't get to see any of the island. Murano was fantastic just unfortunate start to the excursion

The guide was a bit "dry" and unenthusiastic. There were also technical issues with the earpiece they gave us which made hearing the guide very difficult (not just for us, others in our group had the same issue). The whole tour was rushed, it was advertised as 5 to 5.5 hours long tour but we were done in 4 hours, and I felt like the main goal of the tour was to get us into a few stores and make us buy stuff (maybe the tour company gets a kick-back from those stores?). All-in-all, I usually find a lot of value in guided tours, but this particular one I would skip and just visit Murano and Burano islands at your own pace.

It’s was just OK. The gondola driver was grumpy and we got caught in a down pour. He went under a canopy and we were being poured on by a downspout above. The other boats the people were given a plastic cover to put over them and we ended up being parked under the canopy for so long we were absolutely saturated. Right to our shoes and underwear. We wished he would’ve just took us straight to the dock to get off so we could find shelter.
