Marcus made sure that we were comfortable before we got started and also made sure we were okay with the itinerary he had planned for our ride. We had a great time with our bike rental! Took the trail out to Mt. Vernon and everything worked good with the admission being part of our rental. The bikes had plenty of charge when we got back, even after riding almost 30 miles - rode back towards DC as well after visiting Mt. Vernon. This is a great location near the Mt. We paid $68 per bike, plus $10 for insurance and additional taxes. For that price, the experience was absolutely terrible. Instead of a full day, we were only able to use the bikes for 2.5 hours before we had to return. When we asked the shop for a discount, they refused. Awful! Bart was a great guide and very knowledgable on the history of Versaille and all of its inhabitants over the centuries! We enjoyed our 1/2 day bike tour of the grounds of Versaille on July 14, 2026. We toured the Petite Trianon, Marie Antoinette's Hamlet, the grounds and a beautiful ride along the canal then onto the Palace where were able to tour on our own. For our limited travel schedule, the 1/2 day touring by bike was a perfect way to tour and we saved a lot of time biking and not walking the 2+ miles to get to the Hamlet and back to to the palace. It was great to tour in a small group and at a comfortable biking pace. The cost included our entry tickets into the Petite Trianon, the main palace, Marie Antoinette's Hamlet and the gardens at the palace, all of these entry tickets and the cost of the tour and bike rental were a really great deal. The meeting place (the bike shop) is very easy to get to from the train station - a 5-7 minute walk. Highly recommend!
