This was not what we expected. First of all, this tour did not feel safe. I would say that only 20% of the bike riding was in areas that felt safe, designated bike lanes for example. The rest of the time you are biking right along fast moving DC traffic or trying not to run into pedestrians as you are riding on the sidewalks around the monuments and tidal basin. We were on the "Cherry Blossom" tour and as you would expect this is a busy time around the tidal basin and the monuments. The whole family did the tour and I was really impressed with my kids for not falling or hitting anyone. My son, to his credit, was ringing the bell on his bike non-stop which definitely helped warn people to make room. To that end, I think the adult bikes could have benefited from a bell. If your kids are not very solid bike riders, then this is definitely NOT for you. There was no real instruction or warning before we started the tour, just a follow me and try to keep up. Our guide was somewhat knowledgeable about the monuments, but not overly. He was very friendly and patient and we managed the route in the 2 hours just fine, but the whole tour felt a bit frantic with all of the pedestrians. We enjoyed seeing all of the monuments and cherry blossom trees and by being on a bike it was easy to get to all of the different monuments around the tidal basin, I can't imagine how long it would take to walk it. Seeing the monuments was really great, but the biking part of the bike tour was far from ideal.

OJ was a fantastic guide on this can’t-miss tour. Highly recommend it! We have a family with 3 kids ages 5, 7, and 9 and it was a favorite day for everyone.

The fat tyre tour was fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone who can ride a bike. You don’t need any level of fitness it’s an easy ride on flat areas. Binti our guide was very knowledgeable, interesting and funny. A great morning in Berlin with lovely people and exceptional weather.

Had a wonderfull 'ride' with Harrison as our guide ( who is extremely knowledgeable) - This was a evening ride that started at 6:00pm including a cruise on the Seine. From Ellen the customer service rep to Harrison & Tabias (guide) it was a most wonderfull experience. Highly reccomend Fat Tire !

JF (our tour guide) was phenomenal. He was great at keeping the group safe on bikes and letting us know what was coming up and what to expect. He was personable and entertaining with his stories. We also liked the guide he was training (Vlad) - he was wonderful and gave some good insights in the different spaces. Highly recommend this tour! We had kids ages 11, 15 and 16 and the tour kept their attention too.
