The bike tour was well organised and fun, and included a shopping trip to the Versailles markets for us to purchase picnic goodies for our lunchtime stop. Our guide, Toby, was a mine of info and had a great way of relating it to our tour group -a mix of teens, parents and a few boomers (us!). Note, (3 star for this part): We scored an upgrade to the Palace private rooms tour after the bike ride. If I had paid for that I wouldn't have been happy. It was interesting to see inside the Palace private rooms (and way better than joining the hordes lining up and cramming into the main public tour) but the French guide spoke poor English and after a long day it was a bit of a struggle.

Out of taking the bus tour, the ferry tour and the guided bike tour - the bike tour was definitely favorite.Matt was our tour guide and he was fantastic!

I was pressured into reserving a 24 hour package and when I arrived there was no flexibility to alter it to the more appropriate day pass package. The agent told me they often sell out and there was a high chance I would arrive at opening but not be able to rent. When I got there, there were dozens of bikes available— I wouldn’t recommend reserving in advance because of the strict no changes/refunds policy. Also, the bikes were in pretty rough shape— we had a chain pop off twice, gears grinding and skipping, brakes in desperate need of tuning, low pressure in the tires, and seats not adjusted to the right height.

This experience couldn’t have been better. The prices were really exceptional, and the service was even better. The ebikes we rented were brand new and powerful, and fully charged when we arrived. Everything was so smooth, from arriving to pick up our rentals to returning that evening. The staff member who helped us complete our rental (both to pick up and return), named Sam, was super helpful and friendly- our entire group felt that every part of Unlimited Biking’s service was exceptional, and I’m excited to bring other visiting friends/family back to rent from them again soon.
