Segway tours are a great way to see a lot of a city, and this was definitely one of the better ones I've been on. Communication before the tour was good - they had to reschedule as there was an event in Rome centre and let me know in plenty of time. Our guide (I think Stefano) was enthusiastic, happy to answer all our our questions and really seemed to be enjoying himself. The Segways worked well and Stefano made sure we were all safe and careful on them. Rome was a bit crazy with the jubilee celebrations and pope stuff, but he made sure we had enough breaks and time away from the crowds. Highly recommended.

We rented for a group of 5 adults and 9 kids. A fantastic way to cover a lot of ground and see the monuments without worrying about parking. Everyone thought it was one of the highlights of the trip. Staff was helpful. Bikes were high quality, although we had some chains fall off. I wish I had some disposable gloves to fix those and keep my hands clean. Youngest kids were in trailer or tag along. We originally planned on their tour, but they didn’t have room, so we just rented from here. The bike exchange seemed like the alternative, but seemed more pricey and less convenient. Happy we rented from here. Pricing was very flexible based on how much time you want. We thought the day pass was worth it. We tried combining with an audio tour app, which was ok, but would have been great if everyone had earphones. It helped to have a list of places to go. Tour started near the White House. Picked up bikes at about 10, lunch near the Lincoln memorial. We ended near the library of congress where we had timed entry tickets at 1. Easy to lock up bikes and do other things as desired. There’s a parking garage close to bike rental, which was super convenient.

The bike tour was well organised and fun, and included a shopping trip to the Versailles markets for us to purchase picnic goodies for our lunchtime stop. Our guide, Toby, was a mine of info and had a great way of relating it to our tour group -a mix of teens, parents and a few boomers (us!). Note, (3 star for this part): We scored an upgrade to the Palace private rooms tour after the bike ride. If I had paid for that I wouldn't have been happy. It was interesting to see inside the Palace private rooms (and way better than joining the hordes lining up and cramming into the main public tour) but the French guide spoke poor English and after a long day it was a bit of a struggle.

Out of taking the bus tour, the ferry tour and the guided bike tour - the bike tour was definitely favorite.Matt was our tour guide and he was fantastic!
