Unlimited Biking at Fisherman’s Wharf may not have the polished storefront that some other rental shops do—it looks more like a garage—but don’t let that fool you. The staff are young and casual, yet efficient and genuinely helpful. If you book online through their website, you can receive a discount and enjoy a smooth check-in process. The e-bike I rented was a brand-new model with wide tires that handled cracks and bumps in the road effortlessly. It was incredibly powerful. As someone in my 50s, I was a bit worried about whether I could make it across the Golden Gate Bridge, but the soft saddle and strong motor made the ride comfortable and surprisingly easy. When I boarded the ferry from Sausalito, someone who had rented from another shop told me they wished they had gone with Unlimited Biking too! One piece of advice: if you buy a ferry ticket to return from Sausalito as part of your bike rental booking, make sure to check the schedule ahead of time. The ticket is only valid for specific sailings, so confirm the departure times before lining up at the dock.

This was my fifth time renting a bike for the PMC and the bike was perfect. Cannondale carbon. Easy to sign up to use it, great service at start and finish and I couldn’t recommend Unlimited Biking more if you need to rent a bike for a race.

We made a rather disappointing experience on August 1st: - we asked for a children’s bike for my 10-year old (148cm tall) but the shop assistant insisted to go with a standard size bike and also charged the standard size price (25USD instead of 20USD for a children’s bike for a 2-hour rental) - obviously the standard one was too big and we went with a children’s bike when selecting the bikes, thus paying 5USD too much (and no ability to refund) - the children’s bike was really bad: no option to switch gears, it was stuck in the highest gear for the whole time - the tandem we rented was also really bad: the chain went out when trying to switch gears, I put it back on myself. Switching gears was hardly possible - staff was not friendly or attentive in any way - Summary: 2 out of 3 rented bikes malfunctioning Nevertheless we made it through Central Park, which is a really nice tour! I would however chose another rental service next time.

Ook een fietsmandje voor onze rugzak. We hebben op eigen houtje rondgefietst op het domein van Versailles. Het hoogteverschil in de route is minimaal, dus elektrisch fietsen is niet nodig. Helaas is maar een beperkt deel open voor fietsers, voornamelijk bosgebied en het grote kanaal. Wij vonden ons bezoek aan het grand Trianon nog het leukste. Minder toeristen en ook heel mooi!
