You CANNOT ride e-bikes on the beach trails. We were handed a map when renting e-bikes and it highlighted South Pointe park and the beach trail to get there. There are signs everywhere that e-bikes are not allowed. So, we stopped to double check the map- and got a warning from a Miami Park Ranger who confirmed that e-bikes are not allowed. We had to walk our e-bikes out of the park. We could only ride them on the bike lanes on the roads. Had we been told this when we rented them, we would have skipped it. Bikes were great- well maintained- but no fun on the roads when we expected bike trails without vehicle traffic.
