It was a cold day but we've done 3 segway tours and Paris was by far the best compared to Barcelona and Madrid. Ben was fun and super informative. I felt I had a good grasp of the cities history after all was said and done.

My husband and I have taken 10 tours with Fat Tire, both bike tours and their Classic Walks tours. We cannot say enough about how wonderful the experiences have been. We first took a walking tour of Paris to familiarize ourselves with the city. Next we took the Night Bike Tour--loved going by the Louvre in the still of night and the boat ride (with wine) was fun. The trip to Versailles by bike allows you to see so much more than you would have just visiting the palace. Monet's Gardens were in full bloom. We walked through Montmarte with a guide the first time we were in Paris, and with the information provided by our guide we were able to lead friends on our own walking tour the next we were in the area. While in London we started with a walking tour (at night) along the south bank and stopped for fabulous fish and chips. The Royal Bike Tour the next day took us to totally different places. As you can tell by counting the trips, we book repeat tours with Fat Tire. The experience is wonderful from the booking (on line and in the office) to the knowledge of the guides. These tours can be done by any age and most fitness levels. Try them!

Like others, I wasn't hot on "touring" and didn't care to try the Segway, but somehow, the whole is more than the some of its parts, especially since Marriette was a fantastic guide! She knew all of our names while we were practicing and made the experience fun. On the tour, the information she told us was original and not at all boring. Kudos to a company that has done things right. They rent bikes, too.

I have taken almost all of the Fat Tire Tours and I cannot say enough great things about it. Our guides were enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and I can't think of a better way to see the city!

I was really pleased with Fat Tire's Versailles tour, as well as the day bike tour… went with some friends and we all had a great time! The guides were friendly, witty and very knowledgable. It was a great way to see a lot of Paris in a short amount of time, with the added bonus of getting to ride a bike through the streets. Overall, we couldn't have been more pleased - we had hoped to do a night bike tour which we heard were awesome, but we didn't have time. Definitely recommend Fat Tire!!

Open every day of the week. Decent bikes for decent prices. Barcelona city has its own bike rental system, which is no use to tourist and this shop is the best alternative. I stayed over a week and rented a citybike for a week and these are robust and reliable. Barcelona has a grid of bikelanes and outside the city there are many bikeroutes in the hills. You can take any bike with you on public transport (except rush hours), so in 30 min you can be on your bike uphill sweating. Just what you need after a night out on the town!

02 Feb 2014 - I was booked on this tour by my travel agent and I could not have been happier. Firstly, my 15 year old daughter and I got lost. I called the number provided and the English speaking female was extremely helpful and guided us to the meeting place, she did not get impatient and stayed on the phone until we arrived at out destination. We were greeted by a lovely young Australian lady, Jess, who was extremely friendly. Her knowledge on the history, attractions, sights to see and Paris is general was amazing. I could not fault this tour at all and I give it a A+. Anyone who is travelling to Paris and is intending to see the Eifel Tower should take this tour, you skip the queues (which was immense, even in winter) and you get first preference to lifts. THANKYOU JESS FOR MAKING OUR EXPERICENCE MEMORABLE.

My friend has wanted to take a Segway tour of DC for years. I always thought it looked ridiculous/unsafe. After a bet of sorts, we purchased a livingsocial deal. We actually watched the safety video provided in the confirmation email beforehand and were both terrified. Note: neither of us are exactly the "coordinated type." Coupled with the fact that we scheduled a night tour in the middle of a chilly November, we almost decided to forego the tour and just go to a restaurant instead out of fear for our safety. The experience couldn't have been further from what I had expected. It was a beautiful/mild November night - a truly delightful experience that seriously makes me want to take a Segway tour of every city I ever visit from here on out. Aaron, our affable tour guide, did a fantastic job of keeping us safe, informed, and amused. He made sure that we had a sufficient amount of practice prior to hitting the bike lanes of Pennsylvania Avenue and was always there with a helping hand for getting on/off the Segways at the different monuments. While we were all tentative at first, we were all maneuvering the Segways confidently within 15 minutes. The Friday night tour ended up being perfect - minimal car/bike/pedestrian traffic with which to compete and the "headlight" provided more than enough light. As a driver, I will no longer roll my eyes when I see segway tours roll themselves across a crosswalk. It was a lovely reminder of how beautiful DC really is and how lucky we are to live here! Highly recommend! Considerations: if it's chilly at all, wear gloves (or you can buy a pair for purchase); if you happen to have a funny shaped head, ask if you can bring your own bike helmet.

My boyfriend and I were excited to see a bicycle shop across the street from our hotel in Barcelona. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked in this shop, the American working gave us the stink eye. He was rude to us during the 5 minutes we were in the shop. I go to Europe every year and this American is by far the rudest person I have encountered in Europe.
