We took the Paris night bike tour hoping to get a good overview of basic sites and more importantly get a feel for biking around the city. This was such a disappointing experience. I am honestly surprised by the 5 star reviews. My husband and I have taken bike tours in other cities before and found them to be a great experience. From the moment we showed up at the Fat Tire meet up spot, things seemed really disorganized and chaotic. We were rushed to get bikes and bright yellow safety vests (which I am not mocking, it was a good idea to be very visible given the terrible instructions we were given at very busy traffic intersections during rush hour) and given very limited instructions. Our tour guide was a very sweet and personable (college-age I'm guessing?) woman that I believe was in over her head. She made it clear that the locals do not like the tour company and will give us a hard time wherever we go. That being said, we were instructed to push our way through intersections, block crosswalks, cut cars and pedestrians off and generally be a nuisance. Methinks not indeed! No wonder the locals don't like the tour company! The group was way too large to navigate the route that was chosen for us. A tour like this should have ten people tops and ours had 20-22 people in it. We were mortified at every turn. To make things worse, our guide thought it necessary (and funny?) to deliver her limited tour information in a really bad French accent. If I was a local (or another tourist) walking by, I'd be a little peeved. We come to cities to learn about the culture and the sights and respect the environment in which we are inserting ourselves - not mock it and be a nuisance! The tour was so bad, we tried to skip the boat portion at the end, but couldn't because we had to return the bikes to the shop with everyone else. We drank our free wine and looked longingly at the people sitting on the river's edge drinking and eating and having what had to be a better time than us. Maybe it was us, maybe it was an off day, who knows. Perhaps Paris is not that bike friendly of a city. Either way, we did not enjoy the night bike tour.

Excellent bike tour! The "night tour" is really an easy, flat bike ride through the city of Paris, with some quick stops at major monuments. And an ice cream! The included Seine River cruise was a great way to see the city from the water, especially the Eiffel Tower lit up! We would highly recommend Fat Tire Bike Tours!

We didn't do a tour - just hired two bikes for some independent exploring. The bikes were fairly basic and size options were limited. The pricing was also fairly expensive in comparison to better bikes that we hired when we were in Oslo and Berlin.

Have travelled a lot but this was our first time to Berlin and wanted to do something a little different - especially with 2 older teens. Took the City Tour with Patrick as our guide - was fantastic!! Would highly recommend to anyone and of all ages!! We will definately go on another one either in Berlin or elsewhwere on our travels!

I went on a Segway tour of the Washington DC mall area. Everything about it was excellent, including our guide, Jack. We started with just the right amount of training and practice to feel comfortable riding. Then we covered the entire National Mall area from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. We stopped often for Jack to tell us some brief information about what we were seeing. He even provided a bottle of water at the start and a granola bar halfway through. I am from the DC area and he covered all the best sites and provided just the right amount of information along the way. Jack and everyone else at Bike and Roll were very friendly and helpful. If you want to do a bike or Segway tour (I would highly recommend the Segway) of DC don't even bother with anyone else.

La señorita que nos atendió fue muy atenta y nos explico todas las rutas para subir al puente regresar y ver algunos sitios de interes. Tienes que ir preparado con una tarjeta de crédito, te hacen un cargo de 100dls por bicicleta, pero al final te lo regresan. Las bicicletas estan en muy buen estado, te incluye el candado y casco si tu lo deseas. La pasamos muy bien!!

We had the best introduction to Barcelona after we previously toured with Fat Tire in Berlin. The guides are so informative and fun and I wish they could have take us around the city every day of our trip!

Had a great experience on the night time Paris Tour. Our guide (Jordan) did a phenomenal job with a range of bike riding abilities. He was very informative and kept the ride fun. We had done a Day Time tour a few years ago and had a similarly good experience.

Great experience. Got a great tour of Central Berlin and enjoyed the biking. My brother in law commented it was the best time he has had in Berlin. The staff is knowledgeable and moves the group along at a good pace. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to see Central Berlin without a lot of walking and hassle.

Great rental shop, best price, nice bikes, guys explained every detail concerning locks and parking. We took two bikes for 24h and had a wonderful time exploring the streets of Barcelona as it's actually the best alternative to public transport.

Fantastic Third Reich/WWII bike tour with Brian, our extremely knowledgeable, friendly and though provoking guide. We were a group of adults and teenage boys and all of us really enjoyed the day. We learnt such a lot as well as having a lot of fun on the way and it really made us think about the events and the issues not just as part of history but how they affect us today.
