We where super lucky first because we had an amazing tour with Ilaria 🩷, friendly she guided as through the Doge’s Palace sharing her knowledge with us, She shared details of the history of the Palace that made the tour incredibly interesting.And second because although we booked for a group tour we where the only ones so Ilaria was our private guide 😊 for two very fabulous hours.

Il tour è stato molto interessante e particolare, la nostra guida Roberta ci ha spiegato la storia del centro storico di Napoli con un focus sull'origine di leggende e tradizioni locali. La tappa finale a Santa Luciella ai librai una vera perla rara, piccola ma consigliatissima.

This experience did not...
This experience did not feel like it was worth the price tag. The ride was 30 minutes and took you through some canals that really did not have pretty views of the city. I will say that we booked later in the day, and wanted to go sooner than our scheduled time and our guide was more than happy to accommodate. So this was definitely nice.

Unmissable afternoon out, interesting and fun, saw things and learnt facts that we'd have missed doing it alone
Andrada was a superb guide, so knowledgeable, interesting, and her passion and humour brought the history to life. Very interactive tour, didn't feel like we were being 'talked at' in a monologue, she was full of animation and genuine joy when sharing her vast knowledge. We were able to ask lots of questions, which she had all the answers to. She pointed out things we wouldn't have seen for ourselves, immersed us in experiences as it would have been back in the glory days of the Colosseum, such as how the Emperor would have viewed it. We enjoyed that as adults, I'm sure kids would love the re-enactment! The facts she shared at the Forum were mind blowing, the sheer skill, engineering and cost of the structures is literally incredible (in the true sense of the word), we walked around with our jaws dropping at every sight while Andrada explained where they came from, how they were built, and what the may have cost, comparing it to some modern day projects that made us realise that the Romans were truly exceptional in all aspects of life. The tour took 3 hours, plenty of stops for fact sharing, photos and toilets. Walk was mainly flat although some slopes and steps as would be expected but Andrada took it at our pace. She then bid us farewell and left us to continue exploring by ourselves. Queue jumps saved time and along with the things we learned, made it really good value for money. Absolutely loved it and so glad we did it this way, especially with a guide as good as Andrada.
