Esther is one of the best Tourguide my wife and I have ever had and we have traveled the world. Enthusiastic, colorful and knowledgeable I encourage everyone to seek her out when in Budapest on the free walking tour program. A generous tip is the norm.

We had 2 tours - Jewish quarters and Buda Castle. Both were wonderful - very knowledgeable and professional guides with sense of humor and desire to bring history alive for us.

Good walking tour of the Jewish quarter in Hungary. Andre was very knowledgeable and provided extensive information. Worth doing. My only suggestion would be that he walked slightly slower and used his flag through the crowds so our group could keep track of him. It might also be good if he spoke up a little bit because the group was larger and sometimes it was hard to hear.

Our free walking tour of Buda Castle was excellent. Our guide, Boulash (sorry to mangle his name) was very knowledgeable and personable. He provided an interesting overview of Hungarian history. Involving our group by asking and answering relevant questions. The climb involved in reaching the castle should not be underestimated. That being said, the pace was relaxed with stops for conveying background material. I am pleased to be more informed today than I was previous to the tour. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide.

We had a tour of the Jewish quarter with Judith. She was perfect, providing those essential pieces of history and stories that enable us to better understand the reality of the community. Judith was knowledgeable and answered our questions. It was great to have this tour with a her. She even shared with the group some really interesting addresses to local restaurants and bars.

Boulash was a great guide. He projected his voice and was very good at giving us the back story of all the places we visited. He also made it easy to remember who was who and what they did and when they did it. He also gave us a sense of the Hungarian People through the ages and how they interacted with assorted invaders over the last millennia. Highly recommended.

It was our group’s (6 people) first Free Tour. We were so impressed! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much from this tour. He was just such a pleasant fellow also. It was the best thing we did during our 3 days in Budapest. Would not hesitate to take about our in the future.
