This 'welcome to Budapest' tour did exactly what we needed - it gave us a grasp of the layout of the centre of Budapest and a broad sense of the hsitory of the city and country. It did more, too, because our guide Esther was a bubbling fountain of enthusiasm for all things cultural, culinary and linguistic. Give that it was a spectacularly hot day, she maintained her energy and our pace, and didn't lose anyone. You pay by results, as it were, so take plenty of cash - you'll want to tip generously.
