So nice idea to go around Budapest and learn about history, what to see and what to do. On the top you can meet new people. Nice way to manage also a solo travel. I reccomand the original, Communism and jewish district tour. Lots of infos. Guides do a great job. They really deserve your tip!

Really enjoyed our walking tour with Aggi. Did more wal king than many other walking tours, which we really appreciated. You end with a great view of the city from the the Mathias Church on the Buda side. The guide they give you at the end is super helpful. Wish we got a little bit more history, especially of the city under communism. We're students and we tipped 2000HUF per person ($7 USD), we saw employed adults tipping less than that, which was despicable. C'mon people, this is the tour guide's income. /rant.

Great way to start your stay in Budapest. The guide was charismatic and friendly, she offered great tips on where to go and what to do, as well as how to avoid the biggest tourist traps. The tour takes about 2,5 hours and is absolutely a must when visiting. I would strongly recommend the nightly pub crawl tour, for just 10 euro you get a local guide that takes you to the hottest bars and it includes 4 shots!

I joined the general tour and communism tour. Both were awesome. The guides were knowledgeable and they lived the history themselves. My impression of Budapest would be very different if I didn't join the tour. I particularly love the communism tour - it revealed the history and behind the scenes of somethings that looked like ordinary places.
