chef did a great lesson showing us good craft skills with fun stories, nice balance. I regret purchasing this tour. Our group of 19 used cheap one-ear audio devices that emitted a constant low hum-- the kind that slowly seeps into your brain until you realize you have a headache. Several of us mentioned it to the guide, but he just shrugged and said, “Don’t use it then.” But his voice didn’t carry well enough for everyone to hear without them. The guide himself was not at all warm or engaging. He never smiled and didn't seem happy to be there. His thick German-Italian accent made him challenging to understand, even without the cheap audio devices. I did pick up a few interesting facts, but overall I wish I’d opted for a prerecorded audio tour instead-- one that I could actually hear clearly and understand without effortful concentration, and so that I could move at my own pace.

The Uffizi tour was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgable and showed all the highlights. The Vasari corridor was interesting although it wasn’t a guided tour and therefore it lacked information.

It was nice to have a variety of activities: gentle hike, free time to explore, shop and eat, and a boat ride. Would highly recommend this day trip!
