He guided us step-by-step, sharing tips and tricks that made everything approachable and enjoyable. The highlight was sitting down to enjoy our creations, which were absolutely delicious.

Firehouse Restaurant and lounge

Memorable experience!

Lydia was phenomenal! She was very knowledgeable about the recipes and I really appreciated how she could explain "why" we were doing everything-- why we weren't tearing the dough, why we were folding it, why gelato is made the way it is! This was a memorable experience and I do recommend it to friends!

The highlight of our trip

This was the highlight of our week in Florence! It is impossible to articulate exactly how awe inspiring this Duomo Climb experience is!!!! Florentine born and raised Quiara ( spelling? Apologies) deployed a beguiling balance of playfulness, historic knowledge and societal context which filled the experience with a great sense of understanding and wonder for the mysterious feats of art, architecture, and engineering wonder. The exterior city views are spectacular, sure —but the opportunity to drink in the cupola’s astounding fresco up close and the wonder of walking between the two domes and physically experiencing a piece of European history starting in the 1400’s through 1600’s is incomparable. Not to be missed!

A Wonderful Not-to-miss Tour!

A wonderful, expansive tour! My husband and I were treated to a wealth of insight around a bevy of groundbreaking artists, the art they created, and the cultural context surrounding that art. A wonderful way to experience and enjoy the extraordinary breadth of the Academy without being overwhelmed. Giacinta ( sp? Apologies) was a warm and delightful guide, curating the tour with intuition, expertise and passion. Highly recommend!

Fantastic, fun, and easy way to learn key recipes and enjoy what was cooked

Solo traveler and part of a small morning class of only 5 participants which made the experience all the more enjoyable and well worth the cost. We visited the nearby Central Market and under the guidance of the Chefs Jon and Alice, we cooked a Bolognese sauce, homemade pasta, pumpkin stuffed ravioli, and individual Tiramisu desserts and had several glasses of Chianti. Classes were taught in a way that made the learning experience fun and recipes shared that I will replicate the recipes at home.

Tour ben organizzato, il cenacolo bellissimo e ottima l’idea di includere una visita alla chiesa adiacente. La guida mi sembrava un attimo improvvisata, simpatico e divertente, inglese comprensibile ma mi sembra che non sapesse gestire il tempo e molto ansioso.
