Nice sampling of Cinqueterre

We got to sample 3 villages of the 5 Cinque terre villages. Our guide, Gabriele, was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. He walked with us along trails in the first town (Manorola), then escorted us by train to the second town (Vernazza) and took us to an authentic seaside restaurant with good food at a reasonable price. After some free time in Vernazza, he took us by van to Corniglia for a couple hours before heading back to Florence. The tour was meant to be semi-private, but my wife and I were the only two in the party, so it was essentially a private tour for no extra cost.

After initial anxiety...

After initial anxiety about clarity of meeting place once the tour guide arrived she was easy to keep up with & very knowledgeable making the tour come to life. The Duomo tower climb enables you to understand close up the incredible structure & well worth the amazing views - would definitely recommend this experience.

Class with John and Alice was great! They were patient and helpful. We were lucky to have a small group, and made two delicious pastas. Only (minor) complaint is that the wine isn’t served until almost 2 hours in, whereas I thought we’d drink it throughout.

Took the “best of Rome highlights: Vatican, St. Peter & Colosseum guided tour” and it was horrible. DO NOT BOOK! We booked it for 9:15am (the only time available) they then like to assign you one of three tour times. We were told our tour was at 7:30am by multiple emails and text messages (that we responded to) and showed up promptly for it. We were then told our slot was at 10am and it was “impossible” that we were on the 7:30am tour….Once showing up for the 10am time (at 9:15am) the tour guide showed up at 9:59am. We were rushed through the Vatican museum and TOLD BY OUR TOUR GUIDE that St. Peter’s basilica was not included in the tour. You are then given an hour to rush to the next meeting spot on your own and wait around for the next employee to wander over 10 minutes before the tour time. The ONLY reason we did not ask for a refund is because Claudia the certified tourist guide for the Roman forum and colosseum tour was AMAZING. She was passionate, knowledgeable and use to work at the colosseum as an archeologist. If I knew how to simply pay her money I would do exactly that. Because this company was an absolute mess, screwing up the number of people each person booked for, meeting times, and general inconsideration for your time or expectations for the tour. Also the fact they acted like we were crazy for being confused why there was literally no organization or for being upset about not receiving things that were supposed to be included in what we paid for. Overall they were the only tour company in all of Rome that seemed to have no idea what they were doing.

Lidia était vraiment super gentille et le groupe était très chouette En dehors du cours de cuisine, on a appris plein de choses et partager un très bon moment convivial Elle nous a partagé des bons plans pour le reste du séjour et c’était un super moment 🫶🏼

Lidia was an amazing teacher. I felt right at home. She was patient en very sweet. The pizza and gelato was delicious. You get tips and trics to do it right. I would recommend everyone!

Loved the history and background provided by our guide. It would definitely not be such a rich experience without an expert giving context and insight into the gorgeous chapel.

John and Alice were excellent teachers! They were knowledgeable, entertaining and kind. Both of my children even got to assist with the demonstrations, which was very special. I highly recommend this activity. It was a highlight of our trip!

Unser Guide Renata hat uns sehr viel Wissenswertes über Palermo erzählt. Auch mal was, was man sonst nicht erfährt. Es war eine sehr schöne, interessante Tour bei bestem Wetter. Absolut empfehlenswert.
