Great way to see the Northwestern coast of Sicily, made even better by great weather. Renato was a very engaging and helpful tour leader, and even took great photos for us! Erice is beautiful, though we could have done with 20–30 minutes more to be able to see the castle in a bit more detail. The salt pans were interesting to see, and the vineyard we visited was also pretty cool. Got a 30 min tour inside learning how the local wines are made, and then a 3-course wine tasting with lunch. The dessert wine was particularly delicious. All in all a great trip, would recommend.

The guide was friendly, but had a super strong accent, which meant we didn’t understand her. Plus, she was quite short when asked questions and felt rushed, I wouldn’t recommend this tour. Save your money!

Fun tour of Venice, not so happy we couldn't do the gondola ride

I picked this package (Venice city tour and gondola ride) specifically because it started at 9:30 and ended at 12:30, which would give us 1.5 hours to get to our hotel, get our luggage and then get to the train for a 2PM departure. We had a great tour of Venice, despite the rain. Our guide (sorry, I forgot his name!) did a great job. We learned lots of history, interesting tidbits of information about various sites, ... We had a nice coffee break in a cafe with delicious desserts and coffee (with soy milk available for our latte). The only negative was that the booking was listed as 3 hours, starting at 9:30. We assumed from this that the tour and gondola ride would conclude at 12:30. Unfortunately the gondola tour was going to extend towards 1PM and we had to catch a train at 2PM. Our guide was continually checking on the gondola ride (to see if it was going to happen in the rain and wind). When he finally heard that the gondola ride was going to happen, it didn't look like it would finish until close to 1PM. That was too close to call, since we had to go back to our hotel, get our luggage, then catch another vaporetto or taxi to the train station. So, please make sure to include the time of the gondola ride in the schedule. And, make the gondola people aware that they can't decide to do the ride when that means the entire tour time will extend past the original end time. It is definitely not right to charge us for a gondola ride we couldn't take because it would finish past the 3 hour time frame specified for the tour.

Our guide was a lovely young lady who made Florence come alive with her tails of the old families and history. She persevered and was very professional even when the audio equipment failed a few times and wasn’t very clear. Some investment may be needed in the tech to ensure everyone can hear the guide doing their job brilliantly!
