We had a little trouble finding the meeting point. The description and photo on the app didn’t match where the guide was so we were late which was stressful. The guide herself was great! Very knowledgeable and gave a lot of info about what to expect on the actual climb. Definitely enjoyed the quiet moments inside without the crowds that were present in Florence during our visit.

Worth the climb!

We loved the small group and really enjoyed the view from the terraces: warning- steep and steady climb! Tour guide was knowledgeable and nice albeit a little hard to understand at times.

Lidia and Salvo are the best. We had tons of wine, made delicious pizza and gelato, and new friends. This was our favorite part of our trip to Sicily! Must do!

If I could give Lisa and the Towns of Italy Experience Makers more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This pizza and gelato making class was one of the most memorable parts of our time in Italy. From the moment we arrived, Lisa made us feel completely welcome. Her warmth, humor, and passion for Italian food and culture instantly set the tone for an incredible experience. She’s not just a talented chef she’s a born entertainer and teacher who made everyone in the group feel like family. We learned how to make authentic Italian pizza from scratch, kneading the dough, choosing our fresh toppings, and finally baking it to perfection in a wood-fired oven. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we moved on to the gelato! Lisa guided us through the process step by step, sharing fun facts and secrets that made the whole experience even more special. The setting was beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious, and we left with full stomachs and even fuller hearts. Whether you’re a foodie, a family, a couple, or just someone looking to have a hands-on, truly local experience, this class is a must-do. Thank you, Lisa, for making this day so magical.
