Disappointed with Through Eternity
I am writing to share our disappointment with the Vatican tour with the group Through Eternity. From the outset, it appeared our guide was not interested in giving any information about the Vatican, the museum, the Sistine Chapel or the Bacilica. While he did guide us THROUGH the Vatican, we had to prompt him with questions just to receive even basic details, which significantly detracted from the experience. Overall, given the high cost of the tour, we were extremely disappointed.

The guide was very knowledgeable, like crazy amounts of info. In a good way. Lots of walking but that is the best way to see everything.

Die Tour wurde leider immer wieder vom Zeitpunkt verschoben was stressig war, schlussendlich war sie am Morgen statt am Nachmittag.

The Domus Aurea Tour was great! Met the first Through Eternity guide which was easy and simple to walk over to the site with some information about the Domus and the history surrounding it. You then get handed over to an official guide on the site - just make sure you have some ID with you or at least a picture of it, as they will check this with your ticket at the gates. The site is underground so can be a bit cold, so I would also advise bringing an extra layer to put on once inside. The official guide was very knowledgable and was able to explain all the rooms in detail, highlighting areas of interest. The VR experience is a great touch and allows you to see what the complex would have looked like while still intact. Overall, the tour was very good and I would recommend it.

Excellent experience
Catya, for the city food tour was excellent, knowledgeable are had an amazing sense of humor, Amanda for the Pantheon inside tour was funny, very knowledgeable and new her stuff. Our city fountain walking tour was very informative and at a great pace, Gracelynn, was our host for the coliseum walking tour and boy, did she shine. We did 4 tours with Eternity tours in 2 days and I would highly recommend them!

Perfect Friends Outing
Catia was amazing. Great energy level and such fun for our group of 10 to walk and eat at so many different places. Gelato, sausage/cheese, coffee, cannolis. All great!

Hände weg von dem Veranstalter! Ich hatte Monate vorher versucht, über die offizielle Seite des Domus Aurea Karten zu bestellen- aber in der Saison werden sie sehr wahrscheinlich von solchen Anbietern sofort aufgekauft und für den fast doppelten Preis über Getyour Guide verkauft. Nicht 24 Stunden vorher kontaktiert uns der Veranstalter, dass zu unserem gebuchten Timeslot keine Karten verfügbar seien und wir um 9.00 Uhr umgebucht werden könnten. Wir hatten um die Zeit eine andere Veranstaltung gebucht. Da uns die Besichtigung des Domus aber sehr wichtig war, blieb uns nichts anderes übrig, als die andere Besichtigung zu stornieren. Beides war über GetyourGuide gebucht. Wir blieben auf Kosten von 220 Euro sitzen. Weder die Veranstalter noch GetyourGuide haben sich bemüht uns entgegenzukommen. Ich werde in Zukunft, wenn möglich GetyourGuide meiden, und immer versuchen direkt zu buchen.

Our guide, Francesco, made what could be an overwhelming experience a lifetime memory. His knowledge of art history is impressive and his care and kindness to us “no longer spring chicken” travelers was much appreciated. Bravo Francesco!

Took the Colosseum, Arena floor, Forum, And Palatine Hill tour our guide was Clara And she was absolutely wonderful! Super smart and fun really enjoyed her experience and of course the sites were incredible and the tour was thorough. I didn’t feel rushed at all.

Gracelyn was a wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable guide. She artfully described ancient Rome as we rediscovered the Forum, the Palatine Hill, and last but certainly not least, the Colosseum.

Maria was the best guide!
Maria Rosalita was the best tour guide I had! Her descriptions of the Roman architecture and artifacts were easy to understand while super-informative. She was very adept at guiding a group, also. Always aiming for the shade, finding the shortest lines, and answering ally questions with patience.
