Better than planned!!!!
We originally booked the Domus Aurea tour, but for some reason we couldn't get in. Instead, our host Enzo took us on a fascinating tour of the homes of Ceasar Augustus and his wife Livia. It was an amazing experience which I wouldn't trade I would also seriously consider him on other trips as a private guide. He was very knowledgeable of both history and art and our morning with him was one I'll remember for a long time. He generously gave us a longer tour than was scheduled so that we could appreciate the secrets of the forum. Well done!!!

Beware, we had a tour booked for months to visit the colesseum. We we were alerted just 2 days before that the tour was cancelled due to "ticketing constraints". We were offered another tour for a day we weren't even in Italy with no other options. Thankfully I managed to find another one with a different company, but had to pay far more. I'm awaiting my refund.

A morning on the Palatine Hill
This private tour was one of the best we’ve ever taken. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, interesting and flexible. We. Tailored this tour to cover just the Palatine Hill which included the Houses of Augustus and Livia since we had previously toured the Forum. We found Palatine Hill fascinating and more than worthy of the 3 hours we spent there. If you are interested in the history of the Roman Empire, this tour is for you. The ruins and excavations on the Palatine are incredible and the Houses of Augustus and Livia are very well done.

It is a quick tour. Not much time allowed in the Vatican Museum. Around 1 hour rushing through the museum and 20min free time in the Sistine Chapel, once entering the chapel no re-entry allowed to the museum. Not suitable for tourists who are looking to stay in the places for detail viewing.

Great to see a less visited site
Marta the guide with Through Eternity Tours was great. She met us spot on time and got us smoothly into the site. Her explanations on the tour were very informative. The VR part of the tour was a highlight allowing to visualise exactly what it would of looked like. I think more sites should use this technology. Through Eternity Tours provided very good communication and even sent a reminder 1 hour before the tour. I would be confident to book more tours with them in the future

Amazing Vatican tour with Brandon. I let him know that I was very interested in the history of the Vatican - even more so than the art. He took my preference and ran with it. He gave us a ton of history and even used the art to frame and provide historical context. I highly recommend!

Our early morning private tour with Through Eternity Tours was one of the highlights of our time in Rome. My wife and I had the privilege of exploring the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica with our guide, Eugenia D’Andrea—and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. What stood out most wasn’t just the grandeur of the sites themselves, but the way Eugenia brought them to life. It’s easy for tours like this to become a blur of names, dates, and historical facts, but she avoided that entirely. Instead, she wove together stories and context that made everything feel vivid, human, and deeply engaging. She also took the time to understand what aspects interested us most, and tailored the experience in a way that felt personal rather than scripted. The 3.5 hours flew by—something we wouldn’t have thought possible given the depth and richness of what we were seeing. We walked away not only having seen some of the most iconic places in the world, but actually understanding and appreciating them on a much deeper level. We would highly recommend Eugenia to anyone considering a Vatican tour. If and when we return to Rome, we’ll absolutely be reaching out to her again to explore more of this incredible city.
