Recently I have been reading a fictional book about snorkeling and it made me want to leave this review a year later. We booked the 5 star reviewed snorkeling tour for our first ever visit to Maui (4/21/25). Unfortunately it seemed the staff present would have rather been anywhere else in the universe. Not exactly the 5 star experience we were expecting. The crater and the turtles are amazing. No one is going to take that away from the experience. But being treated with disdain by the staff was extremely awkward and unfortunately is what stands out to me regarding this excursion. On the ride to site, the person on the microphone reviewed some safety guidelines and said "don't touch the turtles." No mention of the 10 foot rule. We arrive and get into the water. This midwesterner is both not accustomed to oceanic waves nor has independently researched the 10 foot turtle rule. Lo and behold, a wave floats my body within 10 feet of the many turtles present. My head is under water and the sun is out. I can neither hear nor see the 20 year old on the surfboard supervising the tourists. Once my head is above water and I realize I am being spoken to, I am the recipient of some really nasty, sarcastic, and unhelpful "feedback" from the floating child. I work in the service industry, and I'm not much older than the folks working the boat; I would NEVER speak or treat clients/customers in a similar manner. Tourists are STUPID but at least give us a chance. After my error, we finish up and get back on the boat. Apparently some of my hair had become tangled or stuck under the mask. I was removing the mask to return to a staff member, and she was PISSED about the strands that had gotten stuck on the mask. I don't know what I was supposed to do here, I had never worn a snorkeling mask before, I don't know if this was some kind of grave disrespect. By this time I was just ready to get the hell off this boat of brats. If you hate tourists so much, either hide it better or don't work in the industry.

Had the best time! The crew was knowledgeable, friendly, a great time, and 100% there for you to educate, feed, and help you through sea sickness! Totally recommend, I was a little nervous snorkeling for the first time but by the time I was in the water I knew exactly what I was doing! Thank you!

Emily and Captain Keola were great. Made tons of jokes and made sure everyone was always having fun. Even tho there was a hurricane they took us around and made sure we had some good visibility in the water. Where lovely to be around. Emily was also super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations and places to visit around the island while we are here. Thank you!!

The younger generation (from England) on our bus arrived drunk and was extremely loud and obnoxious. We could not even hear our tour guide speak. The tour guide did nothing to rectify the situation. After the wine tour, these same people were even drunker and one needed to get a garbage bag from the tour guide to throw up. It was the bus ride from hell. Other people on the bus had to tell this young crowd to quiet down. I would appreciate an allowance being made and charged back to my credit card. The bus driver should have intervened

Maui Snorkeling crew consistently goes above and beyond the expectations! From ocean safety to the fun educational vibes! We went out for my girls bday and we were well taken cared of. Shoutout Sydnie, Cap. Paul, Cap. Keola, Emily, Whitney, Chatin! An absolute solid team! 1000% will be running it back with y’all!

We had a great morning excursion to the Molokini Crater with Maui Snorkeling! The operation itself is a well-oiled machine - we felt safe the whole time and had a blast. Whitney & Emily were great!

We had a wonderful snorkeling experience! The captain and the entire crew were extremely friendly, patient, and helpful throughout the trip. My wife and I are both non-swimmers, and the crew went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and safe. They spent a good 15 minutes helping us get set up properly and making sure we were confident before getting into the water. We really appreciated their patience and encouragement. Molokini was beautiful, with great views and plenty to see underwater. We even spotted a turtle during the trip! The slide was one of my favorite parts. Surprisingly, it actually helped me get more comfortable in the water, and by the end I enjoyed it so much that I went down the slide three times on my own! The boat ride was smooth, the crew was friendly, and the whole experience was very well organized. A big thank you to the captain and the entire crew for making snorkeling such a memorable experience for us, especially as first-time non-swimmers. Highly recommended!
