The sightseeing canal tour was wonderful. me and my family took the 5 pm saturday tour. The tour guide michaella was especially charming and funny. She made the tour way more enjoyable than normal sightseeing.

There was no real guide only a recorded and somewhat cheesy soundtrack. The headsets did not work well and it was hard to see the buildings at a good angle from the boat because you are sitting very low and some of the waterways are very narrow.

We were really disappointed with the tour, it was quite boring and didn’t really feel like it was showing us unique or interesting locations around Stockholm. The only nice thing was to be on the water. Additionally the tour doesn’t do a loop, instead it goes around Södermalm and then returns the same way, so you see the same sights twice. Just unnecessary really. We were sitting at the back and couldn’t hear the audio on the speakers as the boat gets loud, and tried the phone only for it to get crazy and tell us about something we weren’t looking at, so wasn’t syncing properly. I think a better choice might be the hop on hop off tour so you can get out and explore on foot a bit. 2h is also a really long time to stay seated.
