The team at the pier are great. Booking online was painless and so was the check in process. There are queues for boarding so come early enough. The Boats are clean and in decent shape and warm. We have taken the Amsterdam canal tour before and the detail was fun and informative. This time we took the lights tour and the lights explanation was the only information provided and this was a missed opportunity for Stromma. Would have been productive to fill the gaps between the lights with some information about Amsterdam. Probably not do the lights tour again but the amsterdam canal tour is great.

So unorganized and very delayed. We were all stuck together like sardines waiting to get on the boat in the cold. No one had any idea which line they should be in. People with diff time slots were all put together with no instructions given by staff. The staff member was laughing that they were delayed. Unprofessional. Would not recommend.

We bought our tickets earlier in the day from a very friendly person at the ticket booth. We decided to do a tour in the evening for the light festival. We arrived 15 minutes early because we wanted to make sure we had nice seats. While we were waiting a man noticed we were just two people and told us to move onto the other boat, which was already full. My partner didn't want to, but we basically were pushed on and into a seat in the back of the boat where were couldn't see much. Part of this was the weather, which fogged the windows and made it difficult to see, but this was also why we had come early to be in front. The light show was fine and the trip was pleasant, except for the neck pain I developed from trying to bend my head to see the sights. The tour guide was funny, but most of the tour was narrated by pre-recorded audio. The boat was also full of misbehaving, screaming children, including a toddler that kept grabbing and pulling my hair through the tour, which was not enjoyable. I recognize that this is a family-friendly activitiy, so next time, I might book a cruise marketed more towards couples to avoid this.

Amazing tour and delicious Hot chocolate. Our Skipper was Akram, he explained everything with so much joy and fun. He didn’t rush the tour and gave us extra 10 minutes to admire the art work of Amsterdam light festival and explained everything about it and history of Amsterdam. Boat was clean and warm for the winter. Toilet onboard was clean.
